La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Anaheim

I should have read the reviews before I booked it. Oh well. Before I get too far into the review, if you are a light sleeper, ask for the highest floor!! I checked it on a Sunday night around 8:30 PM. It was conveniently located off the freeway, so that was nice. They have outside parking for oversize vehicles and a parking garage as well. I was confused on how to get from the parking garage to the main lobby because there were no signs. I didn’t realize there was a van blocking the one and only sign they had. I proceeded into the lobby, which was nice and clean. I was helped by a woman. She was nice and friendly. Once I got my keys, I went back to the parking garage (Parking is $20 a day FYI) and got my bags. In order to get from the parking garage to your room you need to go through some stairs that will lead you to the elevator. This sucks if you have a bunch of suitcases. Once I got to my room, I opened it up and immediately just thought about five stars based on looks. But I was wrong. The room was very nice and clean. It consisted of a king size bed and a separate living room area that has a door that can be closed. It has a couch/sofa bed, desk, comfy chair, and another TV. It also has a connecting door if you book with more people at the adjacent room. The bed was not the most comfortable to be honest it could be a bit softer. I had requested more pillows and bedsheets when I booked the hotel, but that wasn’t the case. I was unable to sleep much both nights because the people on the floor above me were either very loud at stepping or the rooms are just super thin. I don’t know what the case is but every morning at night I could hear them. It sounded like an army that was marching from side to side. After a long day at this, this is not what you want. I did like the convenience that both TVs have Netflix on them and YouTube. If only the Netflix work though. I clicked the Netflix button and it give me an error code. I was unable to fix it. I even tried disconnecting the TV and box, but that did not fix it. Oh well, no Netflix for me. The pool area is very nice. It has tables and lounge chairs. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because it had a hot tub/Jacuzzi area. I went into the Jacuzzi, but I was regretting it once inside. I seen a lot of things that were just floating around. It was not the cleanest at all. That was my first and last time inside of it I had originally planned to spend most of my time inside of it during my whole day, but that was not the case. The next morning I went to their breakfast. Breakfast is served from 7 AM to 10 AM. I got there at 9:25. They had just mopped and all I smelled was powerful cleaning supplies. That was not the smell I wanted with my food. I understand cleaning and mopping with the powerful smelling supplies after breakfast is over, but not while it is still being served. I looked around and was wondering, maybe since I am here 30 minutes before it closes there is not that

The location was perfect and the price was great. We were less than a mile from Disneyland so we could easily walk to the park. There were also a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. I’m from Florida and the idea of not having to drive for hours and pay for parking to go the a theme park was new to me.

A recruiter called me for a Zoom interview while I was on vacation. I tried connecting multiple times and kept getting kicked off every two minutes due to the hotel's horrible wifi signal.

Anaheim CA location is trash don’t waste your money there. Way too many disappointing factors when there are lots of other choices hotels.

Never afain at La Quinta This property has some of the rudest staff I have ever seen. When I checked in I had reserved a king suite, the kid vehind the desk face me the dumpiest room available and made sure to knock that I reserved through a third party and not directly with them. Then I asked why they chage a parking fee when they kniw guests will be bringing vehicles. He said straight up to make more money! Then I had to call daily for room service and when they came they would only keave one wash cloth and took a pillow away from the room. Had to constanly go to the deak 3ach day and ask for wash clothes and pillows. When I asjed about extending my stay I was told that I would have to check out and then check back into another king suite, mind you I was already in a king suite, because the room I was in had been booked. Made zero sense and the front desk lady ended up hanging up on me. This is the last time I will ever stay at this property.

So expensive for what? The tvs don’t work, WiFi don’t work. Staff is so rude and they’re understaffed so it just makes the staff there even more rude. Literally called to see if they can fix our WiFi and the lady was immediately hostile. Then we got switched to a different room and the room had a double door connecting to the room over (a guest room not even staff) and the lady said if we don’t like it we can get it (mind u I paid online plus at the hotel making it $300 for one night at this trash motel) and we couldn’t even get a room with decent WiFi
