The breakfast was poor and the service a disaster! Employees are poorly trained on customer service. Hilton has been trending downward for some time. Go to a Marriott. They should have a free buffet and self serve instead of pretending they have full service restaurant . We asked for coffee and they point to a self service pot on a table . Same with water. What a joke. Not a full service restaurant. They charge full service prices but are terrible delivering customer service. The food was worse than a fast food chain.

Decent room, fairly clean, lots of dogs. Beware the restaurant and store! Prices are gouge level. Restaurant needs a warning that the breakfast is not only not free, it costs 17$$$. The booking sites show 104 a night, my room was 290 for 2 days.

Hotel was fine. Not super clean, but definitely not filthy. Biggest complaint is, I work 3rd shift, and they only serve coffee until 11:00 ???? The cheaper, cleaner, more coffee having Hampton across the street has coffee all day. Just FYI

We have stayed here multiple times over the years, but this past time made me realize how bad they need a remodel especially with how much they charge during game season. Rooms are older and outdated--old pictures, shower curtains, old furniture, very old noisy air conditioner that hardly worked. Lobby is nice, just time to make the rooms as nice. Time for modern rooms with glass door showers and newer air conditioner units. There are more modern hotels in the area..

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and have found it one of our favorite stopovers. This visit was much the same with a nice room, good breakfast, and good night's sleep. Breakfast was a step up from last fall as the woman staffing the breakfast room was more pleasant and more organized than last year. The lone negative was that our room did not have a floor lamp beside the easy chair in the corner of the room which made it impossible to sit there and read. The explanation from the front desk the next morning was that the lamp was broken and there was a delay in getting a replacement. This lame excuse is the reason for a rating of 4 instead of 5.

Completely disregard @ashbya722's comments. This place is great (I am writing from the hotel). It was CLEAN and all was in order. ashbya722 clearly had an axe to grind or has never truly been here. Gym was small but had enough free weights for my moderate exercising needs. Staff were friendly. We have nothing negative to say. *Note, ALWAYS take with a big grain of salt those who only have 1 review. Personally, I only care about the comments and thoughts of those who have multiple reviews from many places.

The site is up on a hill above the interstate, so you don't get as much noise from trucks and such as you do at some hotels. Hotel was clean, room was comfy and clean. Breakfast was delicious, and they have many options -omelettes, gravy, grits, pancakes, & eggs any way you want them! Ms. Ann was wonderful serving breakfast. Check-in was a breeze, and the lady was super nice.

We have stayed at this location twice now. It's a great location and convenient to everything Anderson has to offer. The room is clean and comfortable. My MIL is in a wheelchair and the staff made she her needs were met. We had breakfast both todays. I love that is is made to order and not a buffet. Good food. Excellent service. Will stay here again.

The last place we stayed in Anderson didn't change the sheets. Just made the bed. It was horrendous. This time, we decided to try the Hilton. With dog in tow, from everything to check-in, the stay, and check-out, it was perfect. This was the cleanest pet room I've ever seen. The room even had a rug. No animal smells or stains, everything was fresh and clean. The staff is amazingly helpful. The hotel is perfectly situated for easy freeway access. We refuse to stay anywhere else when we go to the area to see family.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted warmly by the front desk agent Ms.Mckenna( Very professional and caring),which started out a wonderful stay on a positive note.Front desk supervisor Ms.Susan Moore provided excellent service to our entire family and made certain we needed absolutely nothing our entire stay as well as Ms.Mildred of the food service department with her phenomenal breakfast entrees! We were blessed with complimentary breakfasts by Ms.Susan and Ms.Mildred being her sweet,professional and caring self prepared our food to order with a smile and great conversation during the wait..Thank you Hilton Garden Inn Anderson for an incredible stay,hope to see you all soon.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and love it. The front desk personnel were warm and welcoming. Our room was excellent and quiet. Parking was good. The only down side was the server in the breakfast area. She never smiled or made small talk and was disorganized. I finally had to walk up to her to place our order as she never came to our table (or others) except to deliver the food. The man at a nearby table got his food after ours because he didn't realize he needed to walk up to the server to place an order. The food was decent but the lack of a smile and the slow service was a big negative. This is why the hotel rates 4 from me rather than 5.

Upon arrival to the hotel I proceeded to sit down on the bed and relax after 11 hour trip when I got up from the bed I found a long piece of blonde hair on my arm from there I need a shower cause after 11 hour trip like I said I went into the bathroom to turn on the shower and to my surprise was another long piece a blonde hair curled up in the bottom of the tub.I rinsed that down the drain and obviously was not happy about both situations but I went ahead and took my shower anyway after getting out of the shower I proceeded to wanted to take a little nap so I pull back the blanket and sheet and to my surprise a piece of brunette hair and some particles that I don’t know how to describe were in the bed now I am furious but being tired I said well since there’s two queen beds in here I’ll just move over to the other bed well what do you think happened when I pull down the blanket and sheets to the second bed brunette hair again in the second bed now I was totally be side myself so I got dressed went down to the front desk and waited for some of their customers to be checked in and I proceeded to tell the young lady at the desk she apologize for the whole matter and told me that there was a room right next door that was open and available and she would move me there which she did. The only bright spot to the whole trip was the young lady because she was the nicest front desk person I’ve met. The carpet in both the rooms have stains all over the place in front of the refrigerator in various other spots throughout the room special around the beds and and so forth and the water kept dripping in the bathroom tub as well. You guess I will never ever never ever stay at that location again and I hope you want as well.

Definitely not what we expected from a hilton. Upon arrival into our room our door was propped open with a washcloth. The carpet is stained. The walls are in desperate need of painting. The bathtub is being held together by black electric tape. The vent is covered in dust. The phone and keurig do not work. The room is very dirty and outdated. Not at all a typical hilton experience.

Bed bugs, bloody sheets, rude staff, dirty conditions This place is disgusting. It's needs a complete renovation. The staff loudly complained about how they hate their job. My soon was bitten by bed bugs and there were bloody sheets on the bed when we checked in.
Response from Property: We are very surprised by these comments from Mr. Ashby. Mr. Ashby never complained during his stay nor informed our front desk about any of his concerns. Our staff takes pride in the clean environment our property has. We do not have any record of any complaint for that room before or after Mr. Ashby's stay. Many of our staff have been with us for over 10 years, so we fail to understand Mr. Ashby's comment about the staff complaining. We maintain a good cleaning score, as well as a high guest service score. We only hope that the guest is not confusing his stay with another property to his stay with us. Thanks!

I stopped here for one night while passing through on business. The hotel itself is well located off of the interstate and near plenty of restaurants. The property is an older Hilton, but it is well kept and clean. My room was on the 5th floor and was very clean and quiet. I could hear my neighbor come back to his room, but otherwise I did not hear anything all night. The AC handler is a little loud, but I prefer the sound of the running AC fan anyways. The TV is a bit small, noticeably so, but they had a lot of channels. The free WiFi was adequate, but lagged on larger file downloads. The pool is inside, which is nice, but is not shaped quite right for laps. The gym had enough equipment for a decent workout. I did not eat at the restuarant so I cannot comment on that. Overall I think this was a fine option for the area. It was priced less than the other hotels nearby, and I would stay here again if I am passing through.
