We were in town for a funeral and needed a comfortable hotel for one night. I chose this hotel because it looked newer than others in the area and the pictures of the suites looked bright and roomy and they had a sitting area and a couch. It was a great choice and the room rate was very reasonable . The room seemed brand new and was perfect. The king bed was comfortable. There was an area you could hang out downstairs near the lobby in addition to a relaxing area outside with a firepit and cushiony chairs. This was just outside the pool area. Their employees were all super friendly especially Becky who was always smiling. She was very helpful due to the fact that after returning home to Florida we discovered that my wife's favorite pajamas had been left hanging on the back of the bathroom door. I called Becky and she checked lost and found and luckily they were there. Becky researched the procedure we would need to use to get them back and we should get them any day now. If I ever had to stay in this area again I would surely stay here again.

The price is right at this traditional motel with convenient parking; spotless, fresh smelling rooms; updated bath & TV with multiple channels; & comfortable beds. Having a room overlooking trees is refreshing. Despite the closeness to I-85, the rooms are quiet. Restaurants are plentiful within a mile of the exit, as is a Regal Cinema. I've stayed multiple times & intend to return when in SC.

I had traveled to the Greenville South Carolina on Anderson area for business a pawn checking in I brought my luggage upstairs took a quick shower and caught my ride to go entertain the guest that I had for business in downtown Greenville I arrived back quite late probably 8:45 to find my room door wide open examining the door I discovered that my room had been broken into all the beds have been scrambled around and everything was all in chaos in a mess luckily my safe didn't get broken into after I examine the room I called the front desk to see if we should call the police and was advising not to I kept telling her that we should probably call the police because I have medication and and other things that seem to be missing but she insisted to wait till the morning I asked for a refund politely so I could get something that I felt safe in and was told to return the next morning for a refund when I returned they said too bad you should have filed the police report and I've never gotten my money back or spoke with a manager worst hotel ever not safe not secure horrible customer service

We sent photos of the stopped up toilet, which overflowed raw sewage in the bathroom to Bestwestern corporate. They ignored our email, not even an acknowledgement. Shortly after check-in the toilet malfunctioned. The general manager plunged it out herself. We went out and after we returned the toilet overflowed raw sewage unto the bathroom floor. We called the front desk and spoke with Ariel who would not address the problem and instead required that we plunge the toilet ourselves. Ariel refused our requests to move to another room saying that we had occupied the room too long. We had checked in hours earlier for one night. We called the corporate office but there was no follow up as promised. Bestwestern corporate said they could not force the hotel to change our room. They and the hotel staff member left us in the sewage room all night waiting for help that never came. In the morning, we requested to speak with the owner who was present on the premises, but the general manager declined stating that the owner does not speak to or interact with customers. The general manager stated that the reason our room was not changed when the toilet overflowed is because all they had available was a suite, which would have been an upgrade. We were never given the option to pay for an upgrade. The general manager continued that moving our room ”would have been money out of his (the owner's) pocket.” So they decided to leave us in a raw sewage room rather than ask us to pay - which would have been terrible in itself.  In the morning,  no one apologized or said anything to us. We were simply given a bill to pay for the indignity we suffered. We had to initiate a conversation with the general manager whose response was lackluster at best. This experience has taught us that while the hotels are independently owned, Bestwestern corporate takes a hands off approach and does not hold the owners to any standard of care for customers. Even though Bestwestern corporate knew the toilet overflowed raw sewage and we were without the use of the toilet all night, they did nothing but call the hotel and report our concern. Bestwestern corporate did NOTHING to help us. We do not believe that any other hotel brand would have treated us so horribly or with such indifference. At Bestwestern,  our health, safety, and well-being were of no concern, despite all the rhetoric about cleanliness during COVID-19.  We regret choosing Bestwestern.
