Staff were very helpful and friendly Wish there was some vegetable included in breakfast menu

Room was clean and nice. Hallways and elevators were dirty. Breakfast was underwhelming as they ran out of food. Hotel seemed a bit understaffed.

They have the best service FRONT DESK IS AWSOME ROOMS ARE CLEAN I am in a hotel every week of the year this is far and above most hotels Carolyn and Kala are Awsome employees you are lucky to have them breakfast was good staff was very personable and was ther to take care of me as a guest

The Television in the room did not work, and they refused to provide any rate reduction.

As a "Lifetime Diamond Member" it stands to say that Hilton has been my property of choice for 45+ years. Having said that, this was a very disappointing, unpleasant and terrible stay. As mentioned by another review, I stood at the reception desk for over 10 + minutes waiting to check in, actually searched around the lobby / reception area to see if anyone was available to help me and now another guest check-in. No signs mentioning they were away helping anyone, just abandoned. When help did finally arrive there wasn't any apology or explanation offered up to either of us. Went to my room then out to dinner, upon return and getting settled in to do some work I noticed that the toilet would make rather loud / refill noise for couple of minutes then shut off. Okay, maybe one time event, WRONG "run, fill, repeat"! Called the desk, no answer. Why you may ask didn't I just go down there and confront them in person? If you travel all day, several days a week and achieved a Lifetime level you would understand that when you get settled in its time to exhale. Generally someone at the desk would answer and offer new room or assistance. Next issue was lack of tissue in the bathroom, small amount left on roll and not an extra roll to be found. Slept (or attempted too) with door to bathroom shut to try and muffle the running toilet all night, not very helpful. I will let the attached pics speak to the nasty conditions in the bath. Lastly, I mentioned it to the desk clerk upon check-out , didn't really seem to care OR offer comment that they would mention it to Manager of GM. If you have noticed that there has not been any response or apology from any member of management team of the property for all of the negative reviews. Needless to say, they do not care about guests comments or issues and have no intention of trying to make any corrections. I moved to the Homewood Suites Des Moines Airport location which is awesome and highly recommend it, worth the extra drive even to the Ankeny area if that is where you need to be.

Not cleaned

The hotel was a homerun, mostly. High tech door locks, very clean facility, beautifully decorated trees for the holiday season, friendly clerk, speedy elevators, good water pressure, spacious accommodations. Great location, plenty of parking. All good! Just a couple of small things. The breakfast included meat, potatoes, and eggs, but these items were not hot, just tepid. Uneatable for us - we regretfully left behind our portions and went to Perkins. Additionally, the shower floor in 312 makes an awfully loud creaking noise as you move about - loud enough to wake the sleeper in the nearby bed. Lastly, no conditioner in the wall-mounted bottle. Completely empty. I like wall mounted shower liquids versus those horrible little bottles, but at least with them, you know what you're getting. One more thing, something that happens to us routinely as we travel. Just bad luck I suppose. The pool - closed for maintenance on the only night we would be staying. But a wonderful hotel overall. We'll stay there again. Just maybe not for breakfast....

Upon arrival, room was not clean. We told the front desk clerk and told them about items missing from the room. They quickly brought the items but room was still not cleaned. Refrigerator stopped working but found out the breaker was tripped. We have a list of items that need to be fixed in this unit. Used the laundry room which only 1 washer and 1 dryer was working. This place really needs to be updated and taken care of . Bad management. Very disappointing.
