Econo Lodge Ankeny - des Moines

I already reviewed this place on choice!! was deleted. Was a cheap hotel and was bit by a brown recluse spider!!! Almost 3 weeks later and still not better.

Myself, my husband and another couple stayed we had two rooms. We were very very pleased. We were very satisfied with our rooms. Our bed was comfortable. We had a pleasant day and all employees were friendly and doing their jobs. All the employees were friendly and everyone is doing their jobs. All employees.All all

Breakfast was not good. There was a used bar of soap in the shower. So i question if it was cleaned. Got in late, check in was quick. For a one night stay, literally sleep and leave it was fine. Especially for the price. Wouldn't stay for an extended amount of time though.

For a quick, one-night stay, it was fine. Room walls could have been a little cleaner. Some items, such as curtains and such were dated and/or broken. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was hot and had great pressure. Overall, I'd stay again for one night.

Clean, good condition, friendly, helpful staff. Nicest Econo Lodge we’ve ever stayed in.

We stayed over for one night here. The room was clean. The hotel is clearly older and could be updated but I can’t complain for the cheap price I paid. It was a good place to stay overnight. Breakfast wasn’t that great but again it was worth what we paid.

The heating unit in the room was very loud.... Like a truck was running in the room kind of loud. It was windy outside and the wind was blowing through the window seal like it would in a 100 year old house. Very disappoining!

I can attest to others saying this hotel has bed bugs! Do not stay here!

Super friendly greeting at the front desk even though we didn't arrive until 1AM due to inclement weather! What a relief to have a room that was clean and comfortable!
