Found a frito on the floor and there was a spot right in front of the door that was sticky enough to grab your shoe. Water was dripping from the ceiling in the corner and we were on the first floor. Gap by the heating unit that allowed cold air in about as fast as the heater would warm the room.

The price/performance ratio is quite high. The old-fashioned telephone is interesting, the hotel has been open for decades, and it is a big car shop. Overall it's pretty good, good location and convenient transportation. Ha ha

Old style hotel still using actual steel keys for the rooms instead of plastic. Room was comfortable and location was good. Good value for the money. Close to Trader Joes and several other restaurants and couple of miles from downtown Ann Arbor
Biggest negative is shower water temperature can surge and drop rapidly, probably when someone flushes toilet nearby. Breakfast is free and worth about what you pay for it. Biggest annoyance is hassle of needing wi-fi code that changes late at night every Sunday...after office closes.

Overall, there are a few disappointing points, but the advantage is that the price is relatively cheap compared to nearby hotels, and breakfast is provided, but it is not so much breakfast as snacks, don't expect cleanliness. The detailed service itself is not bad!

This is an average hotel with a decent price for an overnight stay. Needs a lot of attention to cosmetic detail. The main aspects like the shower heater and beds was good. A few drawbacks like the coffee maker didn’t work. There is no breakfast as the attendant for the front desk doesn’t arrive till 8am. Room was clean and bedding was comfortable. There is a microwave and refrigerator in room.

It was convenient for the price of $72 for a small room. The bathroom had so many cracks in the tile, moldy caulk behind the bathroom door, and every noise was so loud, including the tweakers that woke up at 4am. We went to get a decent night’s sleep because our apt is flooded. The room had stains on the carpet and chair. Every looks like it hasn’t been updated since 1950s. It was not great, but the best price.

I like University Inn so much I stay there almost every week. Staff at reception desk is very nice. TV, microwave, refrigerator, and a unit that you can for temperature control.
