Sofa Kaleici

Upon check-in, we found a syringe needle on the nightstand and someone's hair on the floor. After we complained, they moved us to another room. However, in the new room, there was absolutely no light. We had to use our phone flashlights at night just to see where we were going. The cleaning was terrible, the rooms are outdated, and the door handles were broken. There's a veranda and tables in the inner courtyard for guests, but it's full of cats everywhere, and they've made a mess, causing a bad smell. There are also stains on the courtyard seats. The location is excellent, that's the only positive. For nearly the same price, you can find an amazing hotel nearby with breakfast, a sauna, a pool, and a luxury class. We've done exactly that now, and we'll never set foot in this hotel again.

Located in the heart of the Old Town, just a straight walk through Hadrian's Gate. If you're coming from the bus station by tram, it's closer to get off at the 'Isparama' stop, not 'Maraspara' as Google Maps might suggest. You'll recognize it when you see it, don't worry about the spelling.

Following my previous review exposing this fraudulent hotel, here's another point: there's a mosque right next to the hotel, and the call to prayer starts promptly at 6 AM every morning, very loudly. If you're not an early riser, be warned! The owner is particularly unfriendly towards Chinese guests, so please avoid this place. All my reviews are completely truthful. During the 2026 Chinese New Year, I traveled to Turkey with my mother and child. After checking online reviews (which might have been fabricated by her), I booked two rooms for two nights at this hotel in the old city. Antalya in winter is off-peak season, and her prices were normal. The 'front desk' was just a table, and the owner claimed someone would be there 24/7 for any issues. However, when we returned after dinner to rest, we found the toilet was broken, the showerhead holder was broken, the shower diverter was broken, and the bathroom doorknob was also broken. The room itself was tiny; once the suitcase was open, there was no space to walk. We went to the front desk, but no one was there. A man came out, took a look, and said there was nothing he could do until the next day. I contacted Ctrip customer service, and I must commend them for their quick response. They immediately called the hotel, but the same man answered. He told me to talk to the owner directly on the phone. The owner played dumb, claiming she couldn't understand me and that there were no empty rooms to switch to that night. Since it was very late and we were exhausted, I decided to try and sleep, only to find the smoke detector on the ceiling flashing a green light, which was incredibly bright and disruptive in the dark. I endured until the next morning and confronted the owner. She was incredibly arrogant, shrugging and playing dumb. After I insisted, she offered to switch us to a 'suite,' which turned out to be a room on the ground floor directly facing the public restroom, with only one dark, tiny window. It was dark and smelly. I immediately refused. She then told me if I didn't like her hotel, I could leave, and she would only refund me for the second night, claiming that even though the facilities were undeniably broken for the first night, I had still used them. I didn't want to waste any more time with her, so I packed our bags and moved to another hotel with my mother and child. Finally, Ctrip provided some compensation, so kudos to Ctrip.

The environment is quite clean and the room is also relatively large. Although I didn't buy breakfast, they offer complimentary tea service which is excellent. The front desk staff are very enthusiastic.

Booked three rooms. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent, right in the middle of the old town's main street.

This is our third time staying at this hotel, and we're very happy with it. We absolutely love the inner courtyard, the serene atmosphere, and the cozy rooms, all while being right in the historic center. Special thanks to the staff – they're always ready to help. Thank you!

You get what you pay for, it's on par with a 100-150 RMB hotel in China, maybe even worse than some 150 RMB ones.

A pretty good hotel for the price. Delightful breakfast on the veranda, friendly staff, a clean room with everything you need, and a great location right in the middle of the old town. I loved everything, I highly recommend it.

I wanted to stay in Kaleici and found this hotel. My flight arrived late, so I checked in late, but they were very accommodating. The shower had good water temperature and pressure. They even offered coffee and bread at checkout, and the reception staff were friendly; I had a very pleasant time. Thank you! (Teşekkürler ederim!)
