Hotel la Villa Port D Antibes & Spa

While everything was quite nice, somehow I don’t feel like raving about it. Maybe because compared with the experience, the price wasn’t good value. Lack of amenities. Lack of sense of hospitality. Also my room, although upgrade to a “junior suite?”, was north facing which was quite a bummer. I want the sun!

Can I give them 10 stars? The hotel and staff were amazing start to finish. We had a "PMR" room and it was lovely. Often these rooms are the worst. This one was at the end of the hall on the 4th floor. The balcony had an unobstructed view. The bathroom was safe, had a drop down seat so easy to switch between myself and my husband. There was plenty of closet and shelf space. The closet had a lever to pull down the rod if needed. The door had a stopper so I could open it and latch it, and then my husband could wheel in easily. And the staff!!! We had a problem with the mobility scooter we rented and Ilaria at the front desk went to extraordinary lengths to help us, placing multiple phone calls to try to get it sorted for us. She was so apologetic when it took a day to get things fixed, even though it wasn't her fault. She assured me I wasn't unreasonable about my requests. And what a sense of humor! The manager (I think) Jack was equally lovely. When we left he helped my husband get into the taxi and wished him safe travels. Location is great as well. Not far from everything but not smack in the center of to much noise. Will stay again if i ever get lucky enough to come to Antibes again!

An excellent hotel, a very nice staying , very nice people , very close to the port, a very nice view, nice breakfast even though I didn’t have time to taste it. Certainly I ll come and stay at the same hotel

A lot of thought, love and planning went into the creation of this hotel — this is clearly apparent in a multitude of aspects. The design and décor — a lovely mix between classic and modern, is elegant and tasteful. The lobby and lounge area are warm & inviting, including a soothing fireplace. The room was also superb. Well appointed, spotlessly clean, and very well furnished. There is a balcony too. The bathroom was comprised of wonderful marble tiles and modern fixtures. One thing I did not like as much, was the shower fixture that does not allow to set the water pressure. But that was a minor inconvenience, and on the other hand, saves water and is thus better for the environment. Another highlight of my stay for sure has been the staff. From check-in to check-out, all interactions with staff were wonderful. From reception, to bar, to breakfast service and housekeeping. There is clearly a strong team spirit here, which is very apparent, and which one does not often see in this form. The staff were all very helpful, professional, and most of all, all seemed happy and content being a part of the team at this hotel. I can only credit this to the management and the owners. The breakfast buffet is very good. There is a lot of variety, and the quality of the food is excellent. The breakfast area in of itself, just like the rest of the hotel is inviting, warm and well-designed. The pool was closed during my stay so I cannot say anything about that, and I also did not make use of the SPA facilities. The location of the hotel is also prime, being practically in the heart of the old town of Antibes which is just a few minutes walking distance away. Parking is easy & convenient in a parking garage close by. The parking is 17 euros a day in off-season. It comes with the added benefit in the form of a pass which allows you to come and go as often as you want in and out of the parking garage. There are also reserved spots for hotel guests which I imagine will be crucial in the summer. I had a truly relaxing and inspiring stay at this establishment and would definitely stay here again when I am in the area again. A true gem of a hotel.
