My daughter and I were visiting friends in Antigonish over the weekend. The Microtel is a new hotel that opened here during COVID and wasn’t here yet the last time we visited. Absolutely lovely place - clean, modern, good value for your money (hot breakfast included), swimming pool, less than 1 km from town, pets welcome 🤗, and extremely kind and helpful staff. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I were driving around Nova Scotia and visiting Cape Breton and PEI. We often looked for lodging the same day-cause we wanted flexibility. Much to our surprise, we stayed at StFX twice--and in the same room. We checked in at the main desk and then slept in a dorm room-which was fully equipped with private bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, air conditioning and a double bed. It wasn't fancy...but it was extremely clean...and the price was right for a quick lay over. So if you ever thought of going back to college dorm life...look no further!
