Holiday ruined due to crap customer service. Hours spent over thé phone asking for assistance....with zéro résults. Be aware there is no proper customer service in Antwerp - instead, a third party seems to answer (sometime) phone calls. In case of issues, nobody would come to thé flat to sort it out. We booked well in advance Rubens apartment: 2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms. Instead, we got thé wrong flat, with just one bathroom, on thé fourth floor of a building, with no lift (!). Thé photos on thé website / booking confirmation are misleading: thé apartment noted is not what we end up with. Customer service incompétence only created additional issues rather then sorthing them out. Thé medal for stupidity/ incompétence goes to Jessica - the worst of thé 5 customer service représentatives contactéd just on thé 1st day. Thé building / flats would need some TLC. There are plenty of nearby hôtels, with 24 H reception, friedly customer service, better prices (and breakfast included ....We did not find even a bottle of water in thé fridge!) After a month, customer service has not yet contacted us, given an apologo and, most importantly a refund ... Do avoid Smart flats! See pictures attached and compare them with those on thé website ...

We slept one night in a smart flats. We were very disappointed with this because it looked fine at first glance. The apartment is not cleaned properly and floors are very dirty. The shower door is broken and the towels had dirty stains on them. As a result, the shower door was broken and the water did not drain properly, leaving the bathroom completely flooded. You could clearly see that other people have also had this problem as there is mold on the floors and all the baseboards are rotten. Mattresses are quite dirty. As promised, there would be WiFi in the apartment, but it did not work and is not available. Apartment sounds very hollow and noisy. Beds were fine and you have a lot of space in the apartment.

Apartment located in a very central and convenient position to reach the city center and all points of interest in Antwerp. The apartment on the third floor without a lift was very spacious and equipped with all comforts... Too bad it was infested with mosquitoes. The first evening we killed at least 40 mosquitoes in one bedroom, sleeping was a challenge; Even though we had closed the windows, the mosquitoes were so numerous and annoying that it was a nightmare. We should have noticed it from the billions of mosquito corpses splattered on the walls and ceilings of the house. It would have been enough to put mosquito nets to avoid this very annoying problem. If you have small children or strollers, don't ask for the apartment on the top floor because the staircase is very steep and narrow. The cleanliness of the rooms also left something to be desired. Already the entrance to the door of the building, dusty and full of rubbish piled up next to the staircase, suggested that the cleanliness was not exactly the best. Near the building there are convenient although somewhat expensive paid parking lots, supermarkets and shops of all kinds

Wij hadden een 5 persoons appartement. Dit is zeer ruim. De woonkamer en keuken zijn groot en de keuken heeft enorm veel kasten. Bijzonder is dat deze bijna allemaal leeg zijn. Helaas ontbrak er veel keukengerei en het servies en het glaswerk was minimaal. De bedden zijn goed, de kussen daarentegen erg dun en er liggen in de kasten geen extra kussens of dekens. In de douche is shampoo/douchegel aanwezig. De handdoeken roken niet fris en sommige hadden zelfs vlekken. De ligging is goed, op een klein kwartiertje lopen van het station en in een mooie winkelstraat. Jammer dat de buitendeur (welke met een code te openen is) niet dicht kan en dus dag en nacht open staat voor iedereen die naar binnen wil.

Na de eerste douchebeurt hebben we gelijk contact opgenomen met de organisatie. De douche was nl. verstopt, dus het water wilde niet weglopen. 1 Van de kinderen kwam er pas later achter dat de douchedeur lekte met als gevolg dat de badkamer blank stond. We hadden alleen de handdoeken om de vloer te drogen. Dit hebben we gemeld, maar helaas werd het probleem niet opgelost omdat de afdeling housekeeping al dicht was. We hadden dus voor de rest van het weekend alleen vieze natte handdoeken. Niet fijn met 2 volwassenen en 3 meiden. Daarnaast was het matras van een bed walgelijk. vlekken die dwars door de lakens schenen. De slaapbank idem. Deze viel van ellende uit elkaar en was te ranzig op te slapen. Verder is er geen theedoek of vaatdoek aanwezig. Tafel of aanrecht schoonmaken moest dus met wc-papier. Uiteindelijk hebben we zelf het eea gekocht. We hebben een mail gestuurd naar de organisatie maar tot op heden (na 3 weken) nog geen reactie gehad. Voor ons nooit weer Smartflats.
