Banks Antwerp

Super General manager, Super hosts, I would definitely book this hotel again and again if the service and terms would be the same. Central located, check-in procedure was easy. Bar with snacks/food/drinks was a excetional service :) Tip The bathroom smell - Can be solved to change/clean the drain/sifon. Tip: Airconditioning was'nt there or the instructions to put the airconditioning on was unclear. The room was too hot to sleepwell. Opening windows was a solution but then the sound of the voices among the streets was too loud. Tip: Lack of service with our booking. While I was trying to pay in advance. There was a pop-up message that mu room with breakfast wasnt available. But the payment process was still ongoing. After that, I saw I booked a Superior Room without Breakfast. I was paying more for what I wanted in first instance. There was no solution from the Hotel and/or Trip.com.

Nicely styled and designed hotel at a convenient location. Staff relatively friendly. Big letdown is the loud music in the lounge area during the whole day. Staff was unwilling to accommodate a request to change the music to a more neutral style and level. Apparently the owners want to set a hip standard of a quasi dance location. DIsappointing. Rooms are smallish and a bit noisy. Bathroom could do with an upgrade. Nice hotel with potential, but wouldn’t come back.

This is a very good hotel and in an excellent location, close to Grote Markt and the cathedral. It is very modern with a nice reception area. There is a lift to the rooms. There are complimentary drinks and nibbles in the early evening. When we arrived Thirza was on reception and checked us in. She was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had not booked breakfast as we don’t eat much usually and there are several cafés and bakeries nearby. There is no car park on site but there is a public car park very close by which costs €26 per 24 hour period. The corridors and rooms have concrete ceilings and floors which are a bit weird. The room was small but the bed was very comfortable. The toilet was in a cubicle separate from the bathroom - a French thing I think. There was no actual wardrobe just a few hangers. There were a few slanting shelves but no cupboards or drawers. There was a small desk with 2 wooden stools but if one of you was at the desk no one else could get past, it was so tight for space. The bathroom was very small and had a shower over the narrow bath. It wasn’t easy to get in because the glass screen was fixed. Toiletries were over the bath but there was no handwash on the sink. There was hardly any space for wash bags even though there was a place in the corner where some shelving could be installed. The room felt a little damp and towels did not dry very well at all so we were forced to have them changed. The room was fine for a couple of nights but it would be cramped for much longer.

Great hotel. Wonderful city. Nice location. The room was large and amazing. With lots of light. Bathtub much appreciated The free cocktail hour was a huge bonus. Staff was super nice. Only tiny drawback: the ethanol chimney in the room would not always work. Slightly noisy from the street cleaning in the morning.

We had the pleasure of staying at Banks Hotel over the New Year Period. Our first time in Antwerp and we had a great stay. Hotel is in a good location, walking distance to everything we needed to see. A really nice calm atmosphere throughout the hotel, room was lovely (executive) with a balcony and fab views. Very clean all through the hotel and the breakfast choice was ample. A huge thanks to everyone @ Banks and a special mention to the lady on reception (blonde hair, name starts with a T) who went over and beyond to sort our room when we arrived. Highly recommend, if you are visiting Antwerp to stay at Banks Hotel! Thank you to all!

Excellent location and very walkable. The atmosphere of the hotel was a little cold and sterile for my taste. I think the room was probably clean, but some stains on the white walls and bed frame made me feel it was not so clean. I was not happy with the glass door that was designed not to close fully for the toilet (which was directly next to the bed). For 2 people, the room was uncomfortable but fine if traveling alone. To plug the heater in, you must unplug either the TV or the light which was inconvenient. The staff was friendly and very helpful.
