Fortunately I will just stay this night in this fricking hotel and I am writing this review in my room (also for Google). I am so angry. I booked an ELITE room with a king size bed. On arrival they gave us a room with 2 single beds, just a fan and no bathroom. When I told them, we booked something different they said we did not pay enough and if we pay 2000 LKR more (for the room I already paid online) we can get the room we booked. After some discussion the gave us the requested room. Just for us to notice that neither AC or WiFi is working. When I asked about the AC they said "oh, it's broken". And furthermore I got told I won't get a room with AC and they gave us this one on purpose since we did not pay enough. ***? I BOOKED AND PAID THE ELITE ROOM ONLINE! I also showed them my booking confirmation. This is the worst hotel I ever stayed and won't recommend it to anyone, expect you want to get scammed. And in addition to all that **** the room smells disgusting moldy. When I left we noticed that the staff deflated our Front tire of our rented tuk tuk. DONT STAY IN THIS HOTEL.

This is a basic budget hotel for just to stay one night or maximum 2 nights. Nature and environment is good. Near paddy field. Close to Main road also. Quiet area. Staff are friendly and helpfull. However, bedding mattress are very thin and not good for long stay. Not comfy mattress. There were no table and chair for work and TV as per mentioned at the time of booking. I strongly say do not take meals from the hotel. Very expensive and ripping off. Just a small cup of tea was Rs. 250.00. Normally Rs. 120.00. This is.more than double is very unfair. Also water bottles, and everything are high price. So better stay without meals. Air condition and wi-fi is very good. Water pressure is good.

Please read these comments before booking Rajarata Lodge-Anuradhapura. On August 30th and 31st, 2024, I reserved a family room at Rajarata Lodge. The room, which is the most expensive at the lodge, includes two double beds and a single bed. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that the facilities and services were very poor and not worth the price. a) The room has a very old air conditioner, which is not enough to cool the room and is very noisy, and when I complained, they asked me to wait for 2-3 hours to repair it. b) The room and linen were not adequately cleaned, and we discovered some leftovers in the cupboard. c) Power socket old type (D type, not square type). When I asked for an extension or a square-type power socket, they gave me an extension without a plug top and told me to plug the two wires into the wall plug socket. d) When I booked the hotel, I was told that we could order food. But when we asked, they couldn't prepare food because there was nothing to prepare inside the hotel. e) They have posted on the internet that they have cable TV. But it only has local channels, and it's not clear. f) They only gave each of us one medium-sized bottle of water for the entire two days. e) It has many rooms, but there are only two people inside the hotel to do all the things, including cleaning and cooking. g) In the room, there is a dining table. We bought dinner outside and asked for plates. However, we were told not to eat dinner in the room, even though it was around 10:30 pm. There is an uncovered area outside the hotel where we can have meals, but there are mosquitos there. h) Rajarata Lodge does not accept credit/debit cards. They only accept cash. Finally, the next morning we moved to another hotel. Please consider all of these before booking this place; otherwise, you won't be able to enjoy the trip.

The place is great! It's clean. It has a bathroom inside the rooms. It has A/C. The beds are comfortable. The room is big. There is a balcony. They gave us breakfast for an affordable price with papaya juice. It is close to ancient ruins and famous places in Sri Lanka (Mihintale etc.)

Excellent Place to stay when you visit Anuradhapura. Very Clean and Spacious Rooms with Great Hospitality. Calm and quite vicinity near City Center. Small thing to add is some good bed sheets for Nights, because the small ones are not enough to stay at cold nights on A/C.
