"When you enter this hotel, you are greeted pleasantly by the large and welcoming reception area. However, as you walk through the corridors, the atmosphere changes; they are cold and stripped of decoration, giving them a somewhat sober appearance. The rooms are spacious and have large windows offering views of the gardens, which is a big plus. The pool area is another positive; it is very quiet and in excellent condition, ideal for relaxing. As for breakfast, although it is extensive and varied with a good curries on offer, there is one small drawback: the buffet is located in the hotel corridor. This means that you have to constantly leave the restaurant to access the breakfast options, which can be somewhat inconvenient. Lastly, it is worth mentioning that there are not many options in the surrounding area. There is a lake where you can walk around, but if you are looking for restaurants or nightlife, you will have to travel to the city, which is quite far away. In summary, the hotel has a lot of potential thanks to its excellent entrance and comfortable rooms, but could improve in terms of the decoration of the hallways and the convenience of breakfast."

The room is quite big, but the facilities are old. The refrigerator doesn't work, and the air conditioner is noisy. The biggest problem is that there is no quilt, only a bed sheet. It's hot when the air conditioner is not turned on, but cold when it is turned on! Although there are not many varieties of dinner by the pool, the taste is good, with freshly fried pasta. The breakfast is relatively simple.

The sheets were as dirty as rags and the room facilities were old. I only stayed for one night and it was okay.

The hotel is located in Anuradhapura, with beautiful pagoda ruins visible across a large lake. The environment of the hotel is quite beautiful, and the swimming pool is also very good. The supply of buffet breakfast is not stable. We stayed for 4 nights in a row. Breakfast was buffet breakfast on two days and set meal on two days. The explanation given by the hotel was that the buffet breakfast was not open because the tour bus had left and there were too few people. Anyway, it’s quite interesting to have a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. Picture 1 is the set breakfast we had (the portions were huge), and Pictures 2 and 3 are the buffet breakfast.

The pool dinner is very nice, and the waiters are also very friendly The hotel is by the lake, there is a large lake when you go out, very quiet

We had another wonderful stay at Heritage Hotel Anuradhapura, our 4th visit. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, and the food is always delicious. The ambiance is peaceful and relaxing. However, updating the room carpets and improving the SPA room facilities would enhance the overall experience. We look forward to seeing these upgrades on our next visit to this lovely hotel!

Very Bad / Poor Welcome Even no welcome drink given, No warm/cool towel given/ no one came to welcome us/ no one took my baggage onto the hotel premises. Bed Room Ok, Bathroom Average, Room Given after 30 minutes we visit (2.30 pm) But Restaurant Staff given wonderful support and wonderful friendly service. Hats off to them. Room No 215 Thanks

Our stay at Hotel Heritage from 17th to 18th October was the third occasion. As I commented in my earlier reviews, it was once again a wonderful experience as the homely environment, friendly hospitality, and tasty Western and Eastern food made our stay extremely fabulous. It is indeed a pleasure to mentio and thank Mr. Sumith Wijesinghe, the CEO of the hotel for his total commitment to providing excellent customer care, service, and satisfaction. Without any hesitation, I would like to say that Hotel Heritage will be the place to relax in our next journey to Anuradhapura.

We are frequent visitors to Anuradapura and couple of time we used to stay in this hotel. Environment and facilities have been improved recently. Best view of sthupa. Pls see the uploaded pics we took. Staff and food also great. Highly recommended.
