They assisted in getting us an urgent appointment with a physiotherapist at the private local hospital. Delicious and full breakfast served with smiles. Well-located for visiting the ancient sites. The only downside is the abandonned open lot behind the hotel that is an eyesore."

"Ismattha Hotel Anuradhapura is easy to locate and nearby to the local sights. we checked in pretty late and was still greeted by the reception with a big smile, appreciate their kindness and quick arrangements for check in and dinner at the restaurant was simply delicious. room walls can be pretty thin though, so light sleepers should ask for a corner room, cuz can hear guests walking pass outside. hotel parking is easy and safe, one key point for self drive tourists. there's a nice pool which we didn't get to use but from the pool, one can relax an see local trains pass by, so it's pretty cool. breakfast is simple but delicious and the staff are simply like friends welcoming you into their homes."

"Pros: Value for money. Good Returent with tasty food from the inhouse chef. Good room with TV/AC/Kettle ect. Cons: Photos of outside the rooms and premises published in the sites are not very accurate as the place isnt kept tidy and pool area is messy with towels put to dry on chairs ect. However they can improve a lot to present whats shown in photos. On the check in day we went there around 1:50 (check in time 2:00). We were asked to give 15 mini to prepare the rooms. But we recieved the rooms only after 3.00( Which can be a very rare occational thing as per them). Overall: Value for Money and good stay. "

"We stayed 4 nights in the Tree House and absolutely loved it! We had a room on the first floor with a fantastic view to the paddy fields. The room was very nice and spotless. On our balcony we saw so many birds that we just enjoyed sitting there for hours. The staff is encredible friendly, attentive and helpful. When we arrived we were welcomed with a bunch of flowers, a fruit drink and a refreshing towel. The atmosphere is very homly and you get help from the staff for anything you wish for. Eranga , one of the staff even lent us his personal mobile for a hotspot when the wlan wasn’t working for for some hours. It is absolutley worth staying a few days because apart from the jeep safari to the national park you can also do nice walks to the nearby lake and surroundings where you see a lot of birds, deer, mungos and even turtles. We were sad to leave after four days. We definitely want to come back one day!!"
