This Best Western is conveniently located for exploration of Apalachicola and St. George Island. The staff is outstanding--friendly does not do them justice. The hotel is somewhat dated and room entrances are on the outside, facing the parking lot. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and while there is no road noise, there is not adequate soundproofing. We were sandwiched between two rooms that housed very noisy occupants who talked, sang, played music, and played guitar--all loudly. They would also stand outside in front of rooms in order to smoke and was really just outside our door. I have no idea if alcohol was involved, but it very discourteous. I was reluctant to complain directly or via the front desk because of fear of damage to my vehicle--parked directly in front of our room. I did notify the front desk in the morning and received a heartfelt apology and assurances that they could have handled the matter if they had been notified. But, as stated, I did not want to risk some retaliatory measure against my car. Breakfast was pretty good, though the eggs were over-cooked the second morning and the orange juice was thin. The waffles, cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, biscuits and gravy, bacon/sausage, etc, provided plenty of choices. I loved the staff and hated the noise, but if we return to the area would consider Best Western--and request a quiet room, if possible.
