This is a truly beautiful retreat nestled in a hilly countryside surrounded by olive yards. There is a main house (the old olive press) and three cottages. The cottages are spacious and tastefully decorated with stylish details. The beds are very comfortable. The garden is very well maintained with lots of trees and flowers. There are several areas to socialize on while there is space for privacy. Not to forget to mention the pool and pool area with sun beds and an outdoor shower. The location is not bad at all if you come by car. There are a couple of really good restaurants not far from the villa and the distans to the sea is roughly 10-15 min away. In many ways a perfect stay. This retreat could be more than perfect if the breakfast and housekeeping kept the same quality as the accommodation itself. Why not, for example, add freshly baked bread, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit and some effort with the serving? It would make a huge difference. The same comes with the daily service of the rooms, the little extra was missing. The staff that run the villa was really nice and friendly but maybe not experienced enough for an establishment like Villa Athermigo.
