Hilton Appleton Paper Valley

There was no convenience with the parking, and if you have a child using a stroller, just plan on walking outside, to get into the hotel. The staff was polite, and when we called at 11pm complaining about the music and other guest, being loud and slamming doors, they were kind enough to move us. Just a heads up this is not a family oriented hotel it seems more for a party hotel. Needless to say, we did not enjoy our visit we left a day early, but when we checked out guest services was very polite with us, and only made us pay for one night.

The front desk employees were knowledgeable and very accommodating. Jer was extremely professional and pleasant to communicate with. My group was also very pleased with shuttle service provided. Thanks!!! Will be back.

Beautiful accommodating hotel. Nice room & excellent dining options at the Lombardi Steakhouse!

Great experience overall. Only downside is there was not a hot tub. We saw pictures of one on Google but didn’t double check the website.

Hilton Paper Valley hotel location is in the middle of down town Appleton, walking distance from east to west for any type of fun events happening. Great place to stay!

We have stayed in Appleton many times this past year and I have been excited to try out this hotel (even after many mixed reviews). I'll start with the positives (and there were many and I will be back!). Downtown Appleton is happening. This hotel is in an outstanding location, the lobby is cool and the rooms are renovated. We walked the entire area and enjoyed lunch and dinner at some great restaurants. Here is where they fell short of great (and I wanted to give them 5 stars).....My initial texting with the front desk was subpar. Every communication (in person and via text) lacked any depth of top notch service. When asked about parking I was told to park in the ramp off of Superior Street. Excellent service would have advised to park on the 3rd level so you could walk right into the hotel. When asked for some good non-chain lunch spots close by I was told to try Jimmy John's. Parking in the ramp was incredibly congested and it actually took 15-20 minutes to exit the ramp on Saturday afternoon which was problematic due to an event we were trying to attend. Just as reviews state, the rooms are not very soundproof (doors seem to stick) but we put on all the fans (bathroom and vent) and it worked well! My greatest concern was when I got up, I learned that our two guests next door had frozen all night (had thermostat set at 75 and the room felt like 62 degrees). The hotel did an excellent job of sending someone up right away (the wonderful mechanic seemed to know exactly what the problem was (chiller being reset) and why my room (next door) wasn't having any of the same issues). When asked if there was anything Hilton could provide due to this issue, the answer was 'I already sent someone to take of the thermostat.' Anything they could have offered would have gone a long way.
