I've been to the Craiglands a few times before, but not overnight. This was a 2 night stay BB+D for £260 in total. As the dinners were 3 courses and included a Prosecco each, both nights, I thought this was very good value, particularly as the dinners were good quality. The hotel is well located at the edge of the moor above the town. Our room was large with the usual facilities, plus a creaky floor. The bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was fine, but would have been better had there been cold meats and fish options. Overall we had a lovely time, benefitting from glorious weather

I have been to 3 Green pubs in the last month and it would seem to be the case in each one, needs an update tired and shabby. ~The staff in all three were pleasant and hardworking, a credit to the company. The food however is rubbish you need to change the chef in all three. breakfast in one cant poach eggs, hard as bullets. Burger and fries in second burger tasteless and poor quality served almost cold. The last The Marine in Hornsea , a thirty five minute wait, fish chips and mushy peas. the peas were like thick pea soup and stone cold, the fish slightly over cooked warm with the few chips hidden underneath , nothing on the plate was hot and to say we waited and paid over £13 per portion. Needless to say that is the last visit we will be making to a Green King eatery or Hotel.

I did the spa and stay package which was a birthday gift. I had a fabulous time in the spa, the highlight being the infinity pools which have amazing views. I was lucky that the sun was shining so I spent most of the afternoon making the most of the lovely outdoor space. I had afternoon tea followed by the mud rasul treatment which was something very different and relaxing. My room was very spacious and comfortable with nice toiletries and goodies on the tea/coffee station. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and my server was very attentive. Finished my stay with another spa session. So wonderful in the infinity pool at 9am, very peaceful and I was lucky enough to be joined by a couple of pheasants. Definitely recommend a visit.

This is an interesting hotel quite close to Skipton. The ground floor at the front - main road is on the 1st floor and at the back it's the basement. Staircases are quite narrow and, until you get used to them, a bit of a rabbit warren. The automatic check in / door security system are based on the last 6 letters of your mobile followed by the *. I was there three nights and only got it completely right on the last morning. My room was in the attic space but comfortable enough if you remembered to duck round the sloping ceiling. The breakfast was the highlight of my stay as Karen, the only human I encountered during my visit (except other guests), always had a lovely welcome and was ready to take your orders. Tea, coffee, milk, juices, cereals and fruit were self-service but a selection of cooked breakfasts are available. Interesting, boutique ish hotel with a large free car park behind.

A hidden Gem, Fantastically located down a side street in the town center with private parking. Rooms are basic clean and tidy with access to all sky channels and WiFi. Friendly owner.. Highly recommended no complaints from us!
