I really enjoyed my stay. I will be back. Very close to the ocean. The breakfast was awesome. The room was very spacious and even had a kitchen and full refrigerator. Would love them to allow dogs. Absolutely nothing bad to say about the Rio Sands Hotel.

The room I stayed in was very clean and decorated nicely. The room had a full kitchen. I'm a local so had I known there was a full stove and refrigerator I would have brought stuff to cook a gourmet meal. If you plan on cooking just bring the pot and pans and cooking utensils along with silverware. But that was a nice surprise. I will be staying in that same room again and do plan on cooking...And the bed and pillows were so comfy! The staff was so helpful and delightful. The breakfast in the morning was a treat...I had a cup of coffee and sat next to the beautiful fireplace in the dining area. Being in a very short walk to the beach is really nice as well. I highly recommend.

I thought this was a great place to stay at a decent price, and did write a very positive review. We stayed 5 nights while visiting a relative. Then...3 weeks later, just today, got a bill on my credit card for $120. Called the hotel and was told this was for "damages" to the room! I was shocked, my husband and I are not hard on rooms. I was told there was a stain on a duvet, pillowcases, and towels. Neither of us had a nose bleed, or spilled anything, didn't even make coffee in the room to spill it on anything. I told the receptionist as much but she said that housekeeping reported this so we would be billed, period. I don't know my recourse but I do plan to challenge it on my VISA card, which is what I used for the deposit.

We got a kitchenette, but it turned out to get the dishes and pots and pans had to pay extra bucks. I don’t think I never go back.
