It was a very special experience for me. The hotel was built with stone walls and looked in harmony with nature. It was very pretty and neat. The service was friendly and breakfast was delicious.

Gostei imenso de ter conhecido este espaço! Muito acolhedor para uns dias em sintonia com a natureza. A Anabela e o Rui são anfitriões incríveis, com genuíno interesse pelo bem-estar de quem recebem. O espaço está idealizado por eles, em cada pormenor e detalhe! Iremos voltar, sem dúvida.

An exceptional place—we decided to stay an additional day at Moinho do Maneio, canceling a night in the Douro Valley, because we loved the place and its surroundings so much. Anabela and her husband have created such a special retreat, truly a welcome respite after traveling through the busy cities of Madrid and Seville. The fireplace, the sauna, extra cozy cabin / bed, incredible breakfast with lots of homemade goodies, wine / beer to purchase, etc. all made the stay unique. This seemingly "undiscovered" area has something for everyone. It's close enough to small 13th to 16th Century medieval towns with tons of history to satisfy history fans. There's canoeing along the stream and it also looks like a cyclist and hikers paradise. It certainly exceeded its rating, in our minds. Additionally, Anabela and her husband were so helpful at pointing us to interesting sites to visit, even for when we left the area. Definitely hope to return one day and we will point others in their direction! (Must also say we enjoyed the company of their dogs and cats—such sweethearts).

Great hospitality from the owners and total availability to help us fining the best places to eat and visit. The breakfast is simply wonderful! Is one of those places where you almost feel like family.

Um pequeno paraíso! Envolvência maravilhosa. Sair da casa do Moleiro e saltar para o rio e uma beo banho tomar! Tão repousante e aconchegante. À beira rio duma bela leitura e muito mais desfrutar! E daí a bonita serra da Malcata e toda a envolvência conhecer!

Pela segunda vez, o espaço e a simpatia dos anfitriões não desiludiram. Desta vez experimentamos a bolha e com bom tempo e céu limpo, tivemos uma noite única e que recomendamos. A disposição do aldeamento, a decoração simples e característica, a limpeza tanto das casas como do espaço natural envolvente, a que se junta um pequeno almoço delicioso e muito variado, fazem deste local um dos melhores da região.

Assim que cheguei e conheci a Anabela e o Rui, senti-me logo em casa, pois é assim que eles tratam quem os visita, como amigos que recebem na sua casa. E essa casa fica num lugar especial, na margem do rio Bazagueda, nos limites da Reserva Natural da Malcata. A calma, a paz e o vibrar da natureza são sensações que nos invadem oo ponto de não querermos sair mais de lá. Voltarei sempre. Até à primavera:) Alexandra

Moinho do Maneio is an amazing place, so peaceful and quiet, just perfect for a getaway and to rest. It's comprised of a few independent small houses, some with one bed, others with two or three. There's a pool, fusball, a canoe and a small river right by the property and the food is just yummy! Highly recommended, on all fronts!
