Upon our arrival at reception, we were greeted by smiling, welcoming staff members. This attitude continued throughout our stay. The family mountain view accomodation was spacious, comfortable, well decorated & immaculate with wonderful views of the mountains. The meals were well presented & delicious. The mid morning & afternoon tea & coffee, served with tasty treats were another special touch. We enjoyed the walk along the river & the various other outdoor activities which were available. If you want to enjoy a relaxing getaway in an idyllic spot, The Nest is the place to be!

We are repeat visitors to the Berg and The Nest. The Nest offers such good value for money and as usual the staff, food etc was lovely. We are going back in April and always looks forward to our stays there.

Grading, facilities & meals is more likely a 2 star hotel. We did not enjoy our three night stay at the Nest. No WiFI is available outside of the dining area so you need to use our own data in the rooms. Hotel is not eco friendly and very out dated. Water takes 5 minutes to heat up and such a waste of natural resources. Rooms were very cold and required the under floor heating and electric blankets to remain switched on continuously also a waste of energy. Aged sanitary is discoloured, chipped and painted . There is no air conditioning. Walls are very thin, I could hear my neighbours. Food was the biggest disappointment, tiny tasteless and unappetising. Additional serving is allowed, but one feels like “Oliver Twist?” asking for a second helping. Staffs were friendly and polite.

A beautiful location to unwind, relax and enjoy the estate and its surrounds. The staff are friendly, very helpful and were always accommodating. We stayed for 4 nights and could definitely have stayed longer. It was a very relaxing trip with yummy meals being served.

We had the most wonderful getaway and wished we could have stayed longer! Lots of activities not only at the Nest itself but in the surrounding areas. Lovely spot for families with youngest, teenagers or adult children. We can't wait to go back.

This is our go to place in the central berg, we have made friends at this hotel who welcome us back every time so it's actually like visiting family a few times a year. With amazing food and being so centrally located in the Champagne Valley, it is the ideal getaway venue to restore the soul.

A lovely stay. The staff were great and the food amazing. Even with the mountains hidden in cloud it was still a spectacular place to be. I would recommend this venue to anyone, both local and abroad.

From the day I made a reservation, a lady who took my call was professional and sent my invoice quickly. The prices are very affordable and the staff is wonderful. Good secured location. Very child friendly. Clean air and water. I loved the place .

The Nest has been around for many years and offers excellent value for money. Being a very old establisment you must expect to find that the accomodation has aged. However, the owners are continually upgrading the facilities and the staff are pleasent.
