Arklow Bay Hotel

We were moved to another room on second day as the first room was very poor, really helpful girl on reception on Saturday morning.

Lovely friendly staff and very welcoming on arrival, the premises in a great location with very good food and services many thanks we enjoyed our stay and will return hopefully late in the. Year

So disappointed, what was meant to be an exciting night away turned into a disaster and upsetting experience

Nice relaxed hotel, with good facilities and evening entertainment in bar at weekends. Staff were friendly and helpful. IWould return again.

Attended a gig so stayed here. Food was absolutely gorgeous. Room was beautiful. Staff very nice. The room did have thin walls , we could here people taking but thankfully it wasn't an issues when it came to going to sleep. The only downside was the disabled parking. There was a couple badly displayed outside. They also where just regular spots that where for disabled parking. There was no access aisles so car door couldn't open fully and no space to bring wheelchair up to door. But other than that we really enjoyed our stay

Having stayed in the Arklow Bay Hotel for many years I was not very impressed with the overall quality for the price we paid

A nice hotel, staff were pleasant and food was very good jyst very diassapointed with the room. The room itself was spacious and clean but no view ... faced out to a wall up into trees and bushes ....not a big issue we werent gazing out the window it just made for a darker room but there was good lighting in the room. The main reason i wouldnt book again is that the heating wasnt working ... the room was freezing. I thought it might be on a timer so we huddled under the duvets (beds were comfortable thankfully). I did try every button and switch nearby and turning the knob on the central heating but nothing. Reported it the next day. Someone came down to look at it and confirmed the central heating wasnt working in the room do dropped down a small electrical heater. It wasnt too bad, took a while but took the chill out of the air. I did have to try 3 different plug sockets because the 1st two were giving a humming/staticy nouse and didnt sound good and when i plugged them out the plugvwas hot. Then later on that night we discovered via a near slip incident the grouting in the tiles on bathroom floor was wet. Reported to reception and again someone came up to check it. It was water seeping out from the seal around the toilet...obviously seeping when we flushed the toilet. Nothing they could do to fix it without taking up the toilet to reaseal it so put a towel around the base and gave us extra towels for the floor incase it got worse.Wouldn't be rushing back unfortunately.
