The good: included breakfast (with Texas-shaped waffles!), cosmetic updates, good-sized pool, excellent location and access to a trolley service for local attractions. The good, I'm afraid, doesn't outweigh the bad: it took multiple tries to get a room that didn't smell like smoke and had functioning AC - and the window unit stopped working in the middle of the night (not fun when it's 90° and humid). I hope this property can invest in some much-needed facilities updates to bring the actual building on par with what the shiny new lobby implies.

This place has a smell to it in the hallway on all floors... Reported plumbing issues at around 10pm didn't get anyone to come and assist not even to suggest to drop off a plunger. Called back at 6am and asked for an update and they don't have maintenance on shift, what hotel doesn't have a maintenance tech on shift??? Marriott at that??? I asked if could at the very least drop off a plunger. I don't know if this is how they teach customer service at the Marriott because we had the same type of customer service at the courtyard in Killeen... I figured that was Killeen TX but this this is Arlington TX if figured they would be different... not the case.
