Homewood Suites by Hilton Poughkeepsie

Hotel is clean, spacious, and quiet. Has a putting green and full breakfast available as well. Thank you for the complimentary water was in my room. The night before I stayed at a Homewood Suites in Southington, CT and there were no waters in my room - not sure why some Hilton brand hotels do not offer the complimentary water to members.

Stayed here before never had a problem until this stay. Customer service upon arrival was terrible. They stereotyped us for being black making us sign a waiver for loud noise and unruliness. Front desk clerk said “locals” tend to come in high and drunk and throw wild parties this being the reason we have to sign this waver.

The rooms are very spacious and clean. Check-in was easy and the front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast had so many options and it wasn’t the same thing everyday. The amenities were excellent.

I've stayed at a lot of Homewood Suites over the last ten years as Hilton Diamond Member, but this one is on another level excellence as a top-notch place to stay in the Hudson River Valley. Was welcomed at check-in and given lots of suggestions of things to see & do in the area. Property is absolutely spotless in a fantastic location in PoughKeepsie. Loved being able to safely walk right over to lots of great nearby shops & restaurants such as Barnes & Noble, Starbucks, Fresh Frozen Yogurt, Red Robin, Subway, Five Guys, & CVS. My room was clean, cozy, comfortable, and quiet. Slept well. Enjoyed their wonderful breakfast (different each morning & with friendly, helpful staff), fitness center, pool, outdoor fire pit, and lobby areas. Parking is free, safe, and plentiful. You'll often see deer casually walk by which was fun to see. You're a quick, short drive to the FDR Library/Museum & House (highly recommend), Eleanor Roosevelt National Historical Site, Marist College, Walkway over the Hudson River (incredible walk), and Locust Grove Estate (home of Samuel Morse). Highly recommend this property and can't wait to return during fall foliage one year.

Best hot breakfast of any similar facility. Staff was very welcoming. Room was comfortable and well furnished.

Beautiful property

Over 5 different hotels we stayed in, this was tops: service was friendly and personable by Yvonne and another gentleman in the morning; breakfast buffet had tons of delicious options; patio was quiet and a nice place to sip coffee and read; pool was small but nice temperature; 1 bedroom suite was perfect for the family. Only thing to be aware of is that access to the bathroom is through the bedroom. I would definitely stay again!

Was able to enjoy a peaceful staycation. Room was very clean. Only downside was the ice machine being out of order on my floor.
