We stayed here the last couple days of our vacation and the staff and resort was wonderful. The pool was relaxing and the views are stunning. Food at both restaurants were great!

Beautiful hotel, million dollar views, great staff and awesome food. Sunday brunch was fantastic worth every penny. It's quite a trek to get down to the beach bar but once you get there you won't regret it! The fruit punch is awesome the best I've had on the island.

Went to the Blue Beach bar for lunch. The hotel is a complete re-do of the old Grand View hotel. We've lived in Abu Dhabi and the standard is up there with the high end venues there, with the added bonus of the Caribbean. If they can keep up the standard, they cant lose! Great modern design, facilities (3 places to eat and a pool with bar). The staff were welcoming and friendly, made us want to come back (which we did, for drinks the same evening) Menu runs from burgers to sushi (not something I expected to see in St Vincent). we went with the burgers, cooked perfectly (a rare and a medium rare), good quality meat, toppings and brioche bun, nice crispy fries. Prices seem good value for the standard and ambiance. Staff seems well trained and friendly without being obtrusive. we'll definitely be back Couple of slight negatives - only 2 non-alcoholic cocktails; the promised DJ for the evening session didnt materialise.

The Good- - warm, friendly staff doing their best - beautiful modern and clean building - perfect location on a bluff overlooking Arnie Vale and Kingstown with wonderful views - plenty of parking - cute beach bar - beautiful lobby and pool areas The Bad - - breakfast not included and $$$$ - no almond/soy milk options - no non-pork meats at breakfast, even though listed on the menu - no decaf coffee - no local local juices or food - when you visit a foreign country, you want local cuisines in the menu! - Glass and porcelain plates at pool areas are accidents waiting to happen - Housekeeping cleans rooms late - No water stocked in room The Ugly - - No chairs/seating in the room… the only places to sit are on the bed and on one desk chair. So you can’t really hang out in your room - Pool area dangerous, especially for children. No barrier by pool that abuts a hill. If you stepped up on the ledge, could potentially fall down the hill. - For 3 of the 8 days we were there, there was no bartender or pool attendant at the pool all day - Post rain bugs. There were a few infestations of flying bugs after rains that had to cleaned up in our room. There were no mesh screens in the patio doors which created the situation. On the last night, my husband and I were stepping on the bugs to kill them, called the front desk to have them send someone to sweep up the dead bugs and no one came. We were on our knees cleaning up dead bugs. Really???!!!! - Electricity blackout for several hours on one of the days - We were in the pool on the last day for a couple of hours before we were told that the pool was unsafe and that they were closing it! We couldn’t believe that they waited 2 hours before telling us that we were in danger because of electrical issue from the blackout the previous day. All in all, hotel looks amazing, but looks in this case are deceiving. Manager is a smooth talker unable to deliver quality hotel service expected at a hotel of this caliber. And particularly annoyed that on the last day, he asked us what type of wine we liked which suggested he was going to send us up a bottle for some of the inconveniences, and nothing showed up. Again, all talk, zero delivery. I would not recommend La Vue. Hotel has tremendous potential that it is not living up to.

The view from the pool, the ambience and staff in general are fantastic. It’s definitely a lovely location and the restaurant at the bottom of the hotel serves excellent food with excellent service. Cocktails generally are fab - I was blown away the first couple of times we came to this place and then after spending over EC$2.5k later unfortunately it went downhill. We waited over an hour for our dinner tonight, a hotdog with chips cooked in old oil, prawns so tough you could play cricket with them to mention a few. After multiple mumbled apologies from various managers and the chef blaming it on being busy we left with less of a positive opinion of a so-called 5 star hotel and we were charged for the pleasure of waiting for bad food and service. I have been to many 5 star hotels and never had to pay for bad food and service. Is this the new normal for St.Vincent The bill is not cheap - if you want to roll with the likes of 5 star service of The Grovesner or The Langham hotels in London or Calabash in Grenada you need to fix this fast! I expect first class service and a proper apology. Don’t blame your kitchen, manage your staff properly, get enough staff - sort it out! Shame man! Seriously!

With new hotels it can be hard to know what to expect. We were however incredibly surprised and impressed by the hotel and its staff. The room and the resort grounds were spotless, the staff was helpful and cheerful and accommodating. The view from our room overlooking the Caribbean ocean was absolutely beautiful. The restaurants were some of the best I have ever eaten at in the Caribbean. The entire experience was absolutely amazing. We are planning a return trip to St. Vincent in a few months and we won't even bother looking at any other hotels. This place is an absolute hidden gem.

Amazing property Top Notch service . This place is a wonderful gem. The team members are amazing from the front office , housekeeping, and Bars Team. Special Mention to Kiffina Italian restaurant she is a superstar . Food is as good as you in a Michelin star restaurant . Love the Hairoun beer and amazing cocktail by the Bar.
