Disappointing stay, reservation made one month in advance, request for payment by holiday vouchers accepted. What was our surprise, our stay had already been paid for a week in advance (as if it had been canceled). the quality of the rooms is not up to the prices given. Average breakfast for 12 euros with pastries from the day before very disappointed despite a deal location

The hotel is really well located in Arromanches les Bains, that's the only positive point. For the rest, the decoration is dated, from the 90s. The walls are made of cardboard, you can hear everything that happens in the neighboring rooms. No privacy, you can hear the showers, the alarm clocks, the hallway door which creaks and squeaks each time it is opened. The breakfast at 12€ per person is a joke in bad taste. The filter coffee is burnt, the hot milk is cold, you are even told to go and reheat it in a microwave located in the women's toilets... No more croissants at 9 a.m., no fresh fruit, no more jam, a salad canned fruit. The restaurant is not better. Serve dry, tasteless mussels, or even reheated. A gourmet coffee with 3 frozen sweets.

Visiting for a couple of days, and stopped for lunch. Most prices reasonable for France but converted from euros £11 for a toasted cheese sandwich!! I actually wanted a baguette, but didn't want to serve those even with a baker across the street

Liked · Let's be realistic, this hotel is an old lady, it survived the war, its a typical french 2 star hotel with a creeky staircase and full of history and character and it delivers the basic needs. Its worn in places, but its clean, the rooms are comfortable and have been modernised. It faces the waterfront with views over the mulbery harbour and the new D-Day musuem is right underneath the Hotel. Free parking on site, round the back. Disliked · The Food has been criticised in past reviews and generally I'd agree with them. This sort of Hotel, especially at low seaon, is not going to attract a Michelin chef. But, there's little alternative in Arromanche low season. The Fish & Chips for example came from a processed packet, the moules-a-la-creme was a moule mariniere with a cream added on top, and the deserts are processed and displayed in a glass fronted fridge by reception. Breakfast is a petit dejeuner, so don't expect ceriels, or anything cooked.

Old hotel-restaurant, with old carpet that needs changing, small room, with a toilet where a large or thick person can hardly use it because it is tiny. Bad smells at times and expensive buffet for what they serve, always the same, little variety and with ants. The staff was friendly.

Tiny room, not very warm welcome, low-end breakfast, just like the restaurant elsewhere. Limited cleanliness... The only positive point is that the hotel is located on the seafront and its facade is full of charm... too bad the hotel remained in "its original state"... a waste

This was our long delayed visit back to Arromanche, we decided that we definitely wanted to stay in the town so that we could enjoy the restaurants without driving anywhere. I booked a non sea view room and to be honest as we approached the holiday began to regret a little and I was a little concerned that our room maybe a little small. Needless to say our fears were unfounded and we had a marvellous room on the 3rd floor with a three window view that did include the mulberry on the beach (room 20) it was bright and airy and large, bed was really comfortable with decent pillows !! (We always bring one of our own anyway). I don’t need to wax lyrical about what to do around the area, you all know the history !! In particular I want to mention the team in the hotel and restaurant, Matt and his fellow team/colleagues were beyond friendly, the service was first class, the food was excellent and we want to just say thank you for making it a very special week especially for providing such amazing weather !! The fruit de mer was as good as the first one we had with you 25 years ago !

classica location per comitivr di turisti; solito pranzo alla francese (cioè insalata e tracotto!) non eccezionale ma presentato bene con fantasia; il servizio non è stato velocissimo ma gentile; esosi i prezzi delle bevande.
