Park Residence - a THC Group Hotel

V Good. Spacious & warm with gas fire & heated bathroom floors. A few kms out of town, (we had a vehicle),. Will stay again next visit. Minor comment. Washing machine sealing rubbers need attention by cleaners … something easily overlooked.

Stayed for 3 nights in April in a 2 bedroom apartment that exceed expectations. The property was extremely clean, modern, beautifully furnished with comfortable beds and we felt was value for money for what you got and views to die for from our River view apartment. Couple of minor points as to why I marked down - 1) flooding at the bottom of steps between Nugget Point Hotel and the apartments had old pallets covering it to assist with walking across - these were cracked and slippery - felt dangerous. 2) something was going on with something mechanical on the roof of nugget point when we were there and this just flowed directly into the bedrooms at the associated Park Residence. Particularly bad on the 2nd night where sleep was really interrupted. Informed that maintenance fixed it before 3rd night but it was still there, just quieter. No real apology given for the noise 3) windows seemed hard to get a complete close on - think the plastic bits on the handles may have been taken off, ended up stuffing paper on the bedroom ones to get them to completely close 3) Pool is freezing. It is bigger than a plunge pool and realise that it is used by sauna users as well but for non sauna users it would have been great to enjoy.

Stayed in the apartments with family and friends over a few rooms. The price for accommodation is premium and approximately 3 times more expensive than other luxury serviced apartments. Location is quite far from the city and not best (facilities like supermarkets and big stores are within 15-20 minutes drive). Apartments themselves are OK, clean and tidy but service was terrible - cleaners did not vacuum, they did not refill the toiletries, the stove was constantly dirty. My mother got scabbies after the first night sleeping in the bed. Breakfast not worth the pay too. Very limited choice and

Lovely apartment which was nice & warm and had a magic view over the Shotover canyon and river. Convenient location that is close to both Queenstown and Coronet Peak ski field. The staff were lovely and friendly, with breakfast (and other meals) available at the hotel next door. The cooked breakfast was fantastic! Nice coffee too.

Unless you want to be right next to very busy road and have no view, then choose a river view option. We made that mistake! Also the centrally controlled a/c is noisy and not adjustable. Was like sleeping on an airplane noise wise. Beds very comfy. Kitchen well equipped. Restaurant at Nugget Point next door very good
