We visited today to celebrate my birthday with afternoon tea and despite the hotel being very busy with functions, we had a lovely afternoon tea. The food was scrumptious served beautifully and the staff for kind and courteous, highly recommended.

Disappointing experience from the start - I booked the table for our meal in January and was told we would have to preorder (fair enough) and that I could expect the menu for our April booking to be emailed mid February - I had to chase twice to receive this. Two of our party of nine arrived less than five minutes after the booking time (owing to unforeseen illness) and joined the rest of the party in the garden having drinks - we were immediately approached by a member of staff telling us that “chef was ready for us” ….. we were shown to an eight person (very small) dining table in an empty dining room - there was no room for the wine to be on the table! it was very tight, the other tables were all laid up but no one came to eat in the room for the duration of our meal. The price was not reflected in the quality/presentation of the food. The service charge was over 10% We have been going to Findon manor for “special “ family meals for over 15 years and it certainly didn’t live up to expectations/past experiences this time

Stayed at the Findon Manor on Sunday night and couldn't fault it. The hotel is lovely, full of character and charm, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will be returning.

We stayed for a couple of days over Christmas. The hotel was decorated beautifully for the festive period, we had a wreath on our bedroom door and even a little Christmas tree in our room.
The bed was very comfortable, the room was lovely and quiet. Water pressure wasn’t the best in the shower.
Breakfast was delicious. All the staff we met were friendly, efficient, and courteous. Will definitely stay here again when we’re in the area.

We had our mothers wake here and it ruined the day. The food was average at best. The service was nearly non existent. Trying to get a drink from the bar would take anywhere up to twenty minutes. Then basic things you would absolutely expect a hotel bar to have they didn’t. Baileys, they didn’t have then good old coffee we tried to order and was told “out of coffee beans”, no going to check if there was some in the kitchen or store cupboard just “out of coffee beans”. This hotel’s lack of service average food and lack of basic essentials spoiled the celebration of our Mums life. Would not recommend this hotel and would never step inside it again.

This is a super hotel. The building is a lovely old manor house and has been designed in a contemporary smart style inside. Our bedroom was extremely clean and had very comfortable beds with good linen. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The options for breakfast are delicious and used quality ingredients. We had the perfect stay and look forward to coming again.

The worst afternoon tea I’ve ever had, We were sat in the restaurant empty but sat next to a table of 2 people why not spread people out make them feel more comfortable extremely cold room had to keep coat on. Sandwiches dry def not made on the day ! Cake dry ! Nice scone shame it was the size of a chicken nugget ! With loads of clotted cream for a scone that size absolutely ridiculous. We literally were there for 30 mins and left too cold not welcoming. Not impressed&i Wouldn’t recommend. I wish I had taken pics but I didn’t.

From the first phone call to walking out the door, we found this hotel friendly, helpful & clean. We only stayed one night but couldn’t fault it. Room was large with comfy bed & lovely en suite. Well supplied with toiletries, towels & refreshments. Fabulous food in the restaurant - a great choice. Thank you. If we’re in the area again, we would definitely come back.
