Ich war zum 2. Mal zu Gast bei Simone und Chris, dieses Mal zusammen mit meinen Mann, dem ich zuvor schon viel Gutes über all die liebenswerten Menschen in Utamaduni House erzählt hatte. Dennoch wurden seine Erwartungen, die natürlich hoch waren, übertroffen. Die Zimmer sind super schön und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Gladness hat uns abends mit sehr leckerem Essen verwöhnt und und das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, frisches Obst, Müsli, Joghurt, Ei,... alles was das Herz begehrt. Ganz besonders schön ist aber, dass man sich wirklich wie zu Hause und bei sehr guten Freunden fühlt. So viel Herzlichkeit, so viel Wärme und Liebe. Gladness,Grace, Ebra und Jonathan sind neben den Gastgebern Simone und Chris, einfach wundervoll! Der Abschied fiel uns unendlich schwer und wir freuen uns schon heute auf ein Wiedersehen! Asante sana!!!

We stayed for 1 night before heading to the crater and Serengeti. The room is very nice and very clean, the service is also first class. The two girls gave everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Food is okay, but there is still room for improvement. All in all, a very good price-performance ratio. Thanks !

Wir sind durch einen Zufall im Utamaduni Haus gelandet und es war mit Abstand das Beste was uns hätte passieren können! Das Utamaduni Haus war Ausgangspunkt unserer Safari. Wir durften sogar unsere Koffer ein paar Tage dort unterbringen. Man konnte gegen einen geringen Betrag sogar seine Wäsch mitwaschen lassen und sich Trinkwasser abfüllen. Simone und Chris sind super herzliche, offene und äußerst engagierte Gastgeber. Mehrmals hat uns Simone ein Taxi organisiert und bei der Planung von Ausflügen geholfen. Man fühlt sich bei ihnen sehr gut aufgehoben und fast schon heimisch. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt verlängert, weil wir dort gut entspannen konnten und unsere weitere Reise planen konnten. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und wunderschön gemütlich eingerichtet. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Besonders schön finde ich das Wohnkonzept. Man kommt am großen Frühstückstisch mit anderen Gästen in Kontakt und kann im offenen Wohnbereich immer jemanden antreffen. Wenn man seine Ruhe haben möchte kann man sich vor der Tür in die Lounge setzten oder im Garten auf die Wiese. Wenn Simone etwas gekocht hatte wurden wir gefragt ob wir mitessen möchten (Das Essen war immer super lecker und sehr schön angerichtet). Man durfte die Küche auch selbst benutzen oder die Haushälterin hat etwas gekocht. Es war als würde man für ein paar Tage bei Freunden einziehen. Besonders schön war der gemeinsame Filmabend mit Popcorn :) Das Utamaduni Haus ist absolut zu empfehlen und wird uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben! Bis zum nächsten Mal ＜3

Chris (host/owner) and the two housekeeper girls made my stay very pleasant. Breakfast was always ready early in the mornings with fresh fruit, coffee, pancakes, granola and yogurt, and omelette. The host also helped me by coordinating and helping me to join a safari (“joiner -group” version) with his associate. The experience with the safari went beyond my expectations too. The house was very clean (inside and outside) and had a nice warm decor. I love the fact you can cook your own food or have the girls cook you a lunch/dinner. The two dogs were also fun, playful and sweet too. I will miss the staff and the dogs at Utamaduni House. If I come back to Arusha to do another safari, i’m definitely coming back to Utamaduni House. We liked them so much, that we actually cooked a Filipino dish for them the day we left.

Such a lovely place! Simone & Chris are great hosts. The rooms and property let you feel warmly welcome. We had Dinner after a long day of Safari what tasted excellent. Also breakfast was amazing with fresh fruits and coffee. Service is outstanding. If you need stay-over, this is a Place we can recommend warmly! :-)
