Cambria Hotel Downtown Asheville

Great propert!

The room was very spacious, comfortable beds. Personnel were the most helpful and nice, always willing to help .

The room was so masculine which I loved. Loved the bed, shower, view and the excellent staff from the front desk to the valet service. And almost forgot but the restaurant inside the hotel on the 4th floor called Hemmingways Cuban Restaurant. The brunch we had was delicious!!!!!! The Top notch and worth every penny spent in the 3 days there. Will return when I’m in the Asheville area again.

Great spot to stay right in the heart of Asheville! Bed was very comfortable! Staff are wonderful, location is very convenient. Everything you need is all within an easy walk. Don’t miss Hemingway’s, great cocktails and view! Rooms are well appointed. A few more hooks in bathroom would be helpful and storage is a little limited if staying long-term.

What a lovely stay we had! My friend and I were in town for a nearby concert and we LOVED our stay! We’re Choice Rewards members, so we were greeted with a welcome bag, a complimentary room upgrade, and complimentary champagne, which was a lovely touch. Derek and Eric at the front desk were entirely pleasant and welcoming! The room was cleaned perfectly and the beds were SO comfortable. I don’t think I’ll ever want to stay at another hotel in Downtown Asheville!

Amazing service and the location is perfect! I had no expectations but I was blown away the moment we arrived. Valet service wasn’t so welcoming and we walked into the clean hotel and were greeted with champagne! The room was soooo nice and clean and the view was great. We could walk to everything and the hotel restaurant has the most incredible view. I cannot say enough about how AMAZING our stay was but I would highly recommend the Cambria! We will definitely be back and won’t stay anywhere but this place!

Stay far away from this hotel. It is a roll of the dice if you will have any peace and quiet. On our third night, there was a band playing out on the veranda of the hotel restaurant at Hemingways on the 4th floor. I was 6 floors up on the 10th floor and I could not drown out the band with the TV volume. When I called the front desk person to ask him to call the restaurant and have them turn down the volume I was told that they didn’t have any control over the band sound level. I also tried emailing the manager and those emails were ignored. The manager did not respond to my emails nor did the person reply who was managing the texting app (they used this for the previous two nights to see how our stay was). Needless to say I feel very confident that the loud volume exceeded any city noise ordinance in place. This kept us from getting to bed early in preparation for a long drive the next day. Two nights after the event I finally got my first response back in a email from the Director of Front Office saying “thanks for your understanding during this event and the particular event wrapped up by 9pm”. He said “managing noise levels can be challenging in a hotel located downtown”. That’s easy for him to say as I expect he was at home having a peaceful evening. You can do better than the Cambria Hotel. I paid top dollar for a supposedly higher end hotel. In all of my travels and thousand of hotels all over the world I have never encountered such a lack of not caring about the hotel guests.

Our stay here overall was good. We got lucky and had a room with a huge private balcony (unfortunately it rained). In good weather it would have been amazing, so ask about that room (sorry, forgot to note the number). We enjoyed the hotel bar, but did not enjoy getting a call at 10 p.m. when the bar had a question about our bill. Lastly, we chose this hotel because it had a Tesla destination charger, but were surprised to find out that they had a fee to use it. First time we've seen that in the 9 years we've owned and traveled with our car. Just be aware. Maybe more hotels are going to start doing this now.

Great place to stay and right in the middle of everything for walking. Beautiful views of the blue ridge mountains and enjoyed Hemingway’s on the 4th floor.
