My wife and I were very pleased with our stay. The dining options are very varied and delicious. There are miles of trails to walk about on the estate property and we did our best to walk them all.

Beautiful picturesque setting with Mountain View’s. Spacious room with a tub! Easy walk to winery and restaurant. Loved the entertainment at the gazebo where guests can gather. Friendly staff and guests dressed very casual to my surprise. I do agree with another comment about unloading luggage. It was difficult for us to transport from the drop off area and then move the car to the parking lot. At $400 per night one could expect some kind of assistance. Other than that I highly recommend this location as it is easy to drive around the grounds to see the estate.

Stayed two nights on the second floor May 9 & 10. Two couples. First the positive(s). It is a lovely setting with a picturesque view in almost all directions. We loved the Chihuly glass art exhibit and a Gray line tour around the greater Asheville downtown. Now the not so goods. First the was no one available at the entrance to help with luggage or direct traffic. It was chaos trying to unload with cars blocking the front drive. We couldn’t believe a hotel charging $500 + per night would have no front entrance personnel. Next the WiFi was terrible and we had limited or no reception for most of our stay. Front desk personnel provided shallow excuses or denials despite wide ranging concerns expressed by other guests. The fitness facility was a joke. It appeared to be a converted hotel room with 5 machines. When I attempted a workout there were 5 cramped guests where stretching or floor exercises were out of the question due to limited space. In the evening virtually all shops or venues were closed by 7pm. Last night (Friday) I shared conversations with other frustrated guests looking for something to do beside retiring to their rooms. The hotel did not offer any type of room cleaning service during our stay. All in all we were very disappointed and would not recommend the Village hotel.

Was a beautiful place!!! The staff was excellent and very professional!!! Loved the entire experience from the room, the service, the shopping, the grounds, the Estate is majestic!!!

We did not like that the on-site Restaurants are closed on certain days. They should be open 7 days a week of guests.
