National Park Inn

We were there near the end of April. there were only 7 rooms booked at the National Historic Inn. The staff took time to talk to us, tell us about the place, provide tea and biscuits, lots of games and puzzles, a fireplace, and more. The meals were excellent. The staff said they have nights during the winter when there are no guests! This is a great time to visit the park. You think you own the place and there are still some hikes and waterfalls, and things to do.

It should be understood by everyone staying at the National Park Inn that this is a national park experience. That means there is no wi-fi, and the bathrooms will be shared. That said, I felt very fortunate to be able to book at the National Park Inn. Often, these kinds of places are booked years in advance, but this one is not. I hike early in the morning, so I was able to use the showers at 4:30 AM before anyone else was up. There are some trails nearby, which makes the Inn very convenient. Then the restaurant opens up for business, and the staff there is very friendly. I enjoyed the experience very much, and I would be happy to recommend it.

Absolutely lovely! The staff was wonderful and knowledgeable. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking.

Staff was EXCELLENT!

We had always only visited this lovely, historic Inn, but never before stayed. Now, we can say we'll be back to stay again! We just loved our three-night stay and highly recommend to others. We stayed in a Deluxe ADA room and found the accommodations above reproach. The staff were just the friendliest folks and the lobby always had a warm, large fire, with cocoa and cider close by. It snowed during our stay, so the ambiance was phenomenal! The Dining Room served fine meals, even though it's advertised as "casual dining." And, of course, it's only 12-miles-up to lovely Paradise and all the snow and trails you could want. This is indeed a gem. Mt. Rainier is best when you can stay close by...and this is as close as possible:)

Amazing little historic place that gets you off the grid! The only thing I would improve is the food service—way overpriced (28$ for a hamburger)! But the blackberry cobbler was delicious!
