Been a few times before and will definitely be back again..without a doubt! Warm welcome, beds to die for (where the mattresses are from - would really love to know??? 🙏 Always have THE best nights sleep). Had our dogs with us - who were equally welcomed and were able to be with us while we had a couple of drinks by the fire. Breakfast in the morning was delicious - particularly the mushrooms! This place is very special and never disappoints…. Top stay!

It has been a long time since we have stayed at a place with such amazing facilities, the restaurant is amazing with devine food, the staff are so helpful and the prices are great! The rooms are just breathtaking! I travel a lot and must say this is as good as it gets! Thanks to all at the Flying Fish!

Carole was very welcoming, when we arrived. We were just in time for a delicious Caribbean styled dinner. Retiring to a lovely bedroom ; massive bed! Awaking in the morning to a lovely breakfast. Lovely location in the middle of the countryside , we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend .

The room was lovely. Each one has it’s own parking space in front. Loads of space, bath and separate walk-in shower. Tea and Nespresso provided too. Huge bed - bigger than a superking - and really, really comfy. We were late arriving but Kate had been in to turn the heating on and came over to make sure everything was ok. Tasty breakfast in the pub the following morning. Very amiable and relaxing atmosphere. We’d definitely stay again and highly recommend

We stayed for one night en route home from a holiday and visiting relatives. The inn was in a lovely position with great views over the countryside.
Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with good amenities. Parking was right outside.
We had dinner in the restaurant which had a good and interesting menu and we enjoyed our meal. Breakfast was very good.
We would certainly recommend this inn and are keen to go back for a longer stay.

We needed somewhere to stay overnight en route to Cornwall, and I'm so pleased I chose this hotel. The room was a great size, and the warmth and comfort of the accommodation was doubly matched by the amazing welcome we received. The pub and restaurant were lovely and cosy, and the food was good quality and delicious. Having discovered this jewel in the Somerset countryside, it will certainly be our first choice for future stays in the area.

Good points first... Owner and whole team made us feel so welcome. Food was sooo good that not even a grain was left, and no, I don't have no shame in saying lol. Hats off to the chef! Rum punch 10/10 homemade by the lovely Bajan lady behind the bar. Good size room and very clean. The scenery lovely. Nice weekend break from London. Will definitely recommend. Bad points.... NONE!

Easy clean stay. Park outside the unit. Large room, really comfortable bed, separate shower and bath. Had everything I needed. Cooked breakfast good. Helpful pleasant relaxed staff........... I don't have 200 character s to offer.....

Searching for decent places to eat whilst on a break in the Somerset countryside, we happened upon the details of The Flying Fish. The menu, food with a Caribbean influence, sounded interesting so we thought it worth a try. A lovely way to end our trip to Somerset, the setting was idyllic with the sunset in the background and the food….well, you have to try it for yourself. The curry goat passed the sceptical tastebuds of my Jamaican mum and English husband, so (nearly) as good as our own homemade dish - I would have loved the gravy to have been a little thicker. Suffice it to say not a scrap was left on the plates. The sticky toffee pudding was melt in the mouth and mum enjoyed the cheesecake. Thank you Buddy, Kate and team, we will definitely be back!
