Best Western Plus Suitcase Paris la Defense

the theme of this hotel was interesting. almost everything in the room looks like a suitcase, the tables, the kitchen, the side tables. room was spacious and clean and the reception was nice and friendly. definitely recommended.

I booked the hotel thinking it was in middle on paris. Not walking distance at all from any activities. There is no iron, no room service. Can't the set the room temperature at your convenient temperature. If you need silverware, you will need to go back to the front desk. They literally old that I have to come down if I need a silverware. Nevertheless, the location is clean and close to train station and calm residential location.

Overall a fine stay, room was clean and ideal for couple. We arrived at 2:15pm and check in was 3pm however room was ready so allowed us to check in early. Had to pay 50€ deposit on arrival and then tourist tax on check out which wasn’t an issue but fore warning would have been a good idea. This hotel overall was ideal for our stay as we spent most of the day out and about - it is far from city centre however only 10 mins on train and we used hop on hop off bus to travel around one city. Not ideal if you want to be close to Disney! Our TV did not work and we had no hot water in shower for 2 days but overall was ideal if you’re able to figure out trains. Would recommend the travel card also as spent a good amount of money on tickets travelling about and tickets didn’t work half the time and left you stuck in unmanned train stations late at night until ticket eventually worked. Perhaps would not stay again due to location in Paris however fine budget hotel

We arrived on the Friday and was greeted by a male receptionist who was very kind and checked us in. Was slightly shocked about the 50 euro deposit that he did ask for though on arrival and some sort of French tax rule so they took 25 pound off us too, I feel like they should of let us know before hand about this in an email. Hotel was good for the money I’d compare it to a premier inn, bed was very comfy and room/shower room and toilet was very clean. Only point I will make is that the hairdryer didn’t work, it overheated quickly then would just cut out and had no cool setting on it, so we didn’t bother washing our hair (good job we where only staying for two nights) There is a shop next door to the hotel which is handy you can buy food/snacks/drinks/alcohol. Breakfast at the hotel was lovely and the staff were very kind. I wouldn’t stay here again…just due to the fact I felt it was out of the way of the main attractions in Paris, I would stay somewhere more central near the city. There is a train station near by which we used twice but we found it difficult to use for example to get to the Eiffel Tower you have 3 changes and sometimes the ticket desk to buy a ticket wasn’t open and the ticket machine wouldn’t work so we ended up getting an Uber taxi. We spent a lot on travel. Overall in my opinion a lovely budget hotel with friendly staff but not central to Paris so spent a lot of euros travel and time wasted.

TERRIBLE ... dirty, breakfast room same as reception so very noisy and uncomfortable. Reception desk trying to charge more for the room, pretending local. taxes were high, breakfast room in the entrance so very noisy and uncomfortable, old furniture, really old. Breakfast very poor. Breakfast ladies really wonderful, but the only positive point in this hotel to forget. High prices very low quality. Is a 2 stars not 4 ....
