I arrived on 12 th of march after flying over from europe. I spent the day exchanging money, had a tour around Asuncion, had dinner, and afterwards I just wanted to sleep. But sleeping is a no go in this hotel, because there is this bar Acuarela on the top, where the swimming pool is. And they play music so load, that the walls are shaking. I went up there to complain, but the music up there is so load, that you have to stick the finger in yout ears, and nobody understands you or wants to understand you anyway. I was really, really tired, but the basses were too loud. I tried to relax, but how can you relax with basses imitating fast heart beats. I hoped the music would stop at 12.00 o clock, but it did not. Then I hoped it would stop at 1.00 o clock, but it did not. Then I hoped, it would stop at 3 o clock, but the music went on and on even harder than before. The discjockey probably is deaf. At 5 o clock I finally gave up hope, and got up, as I had to leave the hotel at 8 o clock anyway. Eventually I went down to have breakfast, where the next disappointment waited for me: No breakfast buffet at all, but just one waiter, you have to wait for. Eventually he finds the time to ask you what kind of coffee you want. And then you have to wait again, and all you get is a very small breakfast ( 1 small croissant, 1 slice of cheese, 1 slice of ham, jam and your coffee). Conclusion: Go somewhere else if you want to enjoy a good night s sleep. Avoid this hotel as it is not a hotel but a discothec.

We checked in and were given a room at the front. We had been up since very early in the morning and were tired by early evening but the room was very noisy due to a nightclub next door. We went to reception and asked the man on the desk to be moved to a quieter room - he told us the hotel was full and there were no rooms available. He really wasn't interested in what we had to say. We went back to the room and tried to sleep but the noise carried on until almost 6am. The room was also very shabby, dirty and run down. In the morning we went back to reception and a very helpful lady not only gave us the choice of rooms but also upgraded us to a suite. This room was at the back of the hotel so very quiet and very large; however the room was very grubby and run down- the net curtains were filthy along the bottom and the bed covers had stains on them. Swimming pool area is fine but only about half a dozen sunbeds and no shades for them though there are some tables and chairs to sit at. Breakfast was good. This hotel has the potential to be a lovely hotel but it needs a lot of upgrading and cleaning - they also need to get rid of the man on reception as he really isn't interested in the customers who are paying his wages.

The hotel is surprising. Very beautiful and very well located. Near the main points of the city. All the team is super good. They are too attentive and breakfast is divine. There is parking for the car. I want to come back soon.

I booked two nights for my wife and I and her brother with his wife and two teenage children. This was ”the” hotel in the 60's and nothing much seemed to have changed. The room fridge was barely cooling and no posted prices on the fridge. The rooms are oddly layed out and the view was through large outside shutters which are needed for the intense sunlight. Air conditioning was good once housekeeping set it for me! TV adequate. Bath shower with nice tolietries. Room was spotless but dated. Bed was comfy. the pool on the third floor is very large, unheated but dangerous. All pre ADA stuff non existent. Water was clean. Everyone had a great time. There was also a very large amount of deck chairs and a great view of the park. This hotel is c the best location in downtown Asuncion. Food servive avaiable poolside at reasonable prices. Breakfast buffet was very good with lots of fresh fruit. I ordered fried eggs and was charged about 50 cents each! The hotel staff was very friendly. Our 13 year old nephew was in heaven because soccer teams also stay here. Underground parking was an experience. We will stay here again on our return trip to Paraguay andenjoy the pool weather permitting.

We found this hotel on TripAdvisor of course, and were in town for business from abroad. Although this review is a little late—we stayed multiple times in 2021 in Jan and May/June—they operated flawlessly during the pandemic, and even remembered us when we came back months later! They have a Juan Valdez cafe in the lobby, which was appreciated as a coffee lover :) The rooms are spacious and modern, and the beds so comfy. We hope to return. Cuando hablo de atención al cliente en mis clases o mis consultorías, me refiero a estas cosas Comienzo por decirte que me hospedé en Asunción desde el 4 al 6 de abril El dia 5 fui a desayunar y dentro de las opciones disponible había un plato que me llamó la atención: unas albondigas. Las probé y realmente estaban exquisitas (se parecían a las que me hacía mi madre cuando era pequeño, hoy tengo 66 años ya). Cuando se acabaron una señorita se encargó de reemplazarlas por otra fuente y cuando pasé junto a ella cuando lo hacía, la felicité por el sabor y la calidad de las albóndigas. Lo cual agradeció. Al día siguiente me volví a dirigir a desayunar deseoso de seguir degustando las albóndigas pero para mi sorpresa no había (el hotel cambia el menú periódicamente). De todos modos todo el desayuno estuvo exquisito, claro. Cuando me retiré, al pasar por el lobby, estaba la señorita del dia anterior junto con la recepcionista y le comenté que no había podido repetir las albóndigas porque no estaban disponibles. Ella se excusó y me explicó lo de la rotación del menú y me dijo, con una sonrisa, que seguramente en mi próxima estadía podría volver a comerlas. Salí a hacer mis cosas y volví para almorzar en el hotel previo a mi check out. Elegí un plato para hacerlo. Estaba almorzando cuando se me acerca el mesero con un plato y con una sonrisa me dice ”Señor, esto es cortesía del hotel y de la chef”. Agradecí y miré de qué se trataba no sin cierta sorpresa, dado que tampoco soy cliente habitual como para merecer esa atención. ¿Qué había en el plato?: Sí, mis albondigas!!! La señorita que he mencionado en varias oportunidades, era la chef de nombre GUADALUPE AGUILAR, quien con una sonrisa me miraba detrás de la barra y luego volvió a sus quehaceres. ¡Me quedé con la boca abierta!!! Felicito a Guadalupe por su gesto, felicito al Hotel por confiar en personas como ella. No tengas dudas que esa experiencia la comentaré en todos los ámbitos en los que tenga oportunidad, ya sea en mi círculo de conocidos, en mis clases de la universidad, en mis conferencias, en charlas con mis clientes y seguramente también en mi blog como un gran ejemplo de lo que significa la atención al cliente. Si en el mundo hubiera muchas más personas como Guadalupe Aguilar, no tengo dudas que sería un mejor lugar para vivir. Me parece que es una historia que merece llegar a tus oídos. Porque no es casual que la gente tenga esa actitud. Alguien le seleccionó, alguien quizás le habló sobre cómo lograr sacarle una sonrisa al corazón del cliente y todos merecen mi reconocimiento y felicitaciones. es el correo que le envié al Gerente General del Hotel Aloft de Asunción del Paraguay por una experiencia que tuve en el hotel fue una experiencia increíble, y eso que uno se llena la boca hablando de esto.. pero vivirlo (y recibirlo) es distinto
