When the first thing you find is a used condom in the cupboard on the futons your children are suppsed to sleep on, you know you’ve picked the wrong hotel Whole hotel smelt stale. Open a window!!! Worn out, crappy rooms. I mean really do you need to hear any more? Probably mainly used to entertain *******, but maybe I’m just reading too much into the used condom. Zero stars.

The facilities inside were very clean and nice.

Room was spacious. Nice traditional style design. My room only has a toilet. No private bath. If you don’t mind the public bath with the onsen, go for it. Amazing view of the sea. Downside is the hill + stairs climbing if you come at a timing outside of the transport service.

Room very smelly. Staff very cold and not very helpful Onsen water very cold. Tiniest sauna ever only fit 2 people.

I found this place on short notice – 700 yen per night. The roads are narrow and difficult to drive on. It's a bit inconvenient to walk with luggage. It's rather old, and the room had a smell… Izu is a bit scary at night.

The building is old, but it was very clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was also generous, and I think the price was reasonable. However, the inn is located on a fairly high hill, so if you have a suitcase, climbing up on your own would be quite difficult. The shuttle bus has limited operating hours, so I couldn't use it. A taxi cost about 700 yen one way, so I recommend taking that instead. The amenities were also excellent, and overall it was a very good experience.

I think it was a hotel that was worth the price. The breakfast was delicious.

The building is a bit old, but the interior is fine. The rooms have balconies with ocean views, but you need to ignore the telephone poles in front of you. The public bath is okay, but the problem is the pool floor is black, making it hard to see the steps. I accidentally scraped my calf and had to give up on soaking. The breakfast was decent. The hotel is located on high ground with narrow roads; driving up there was a bit nerve-wracking. People used to driving on main roads should probably avoid it.

I didn't have high expectations after looking at the Ctrip score, but many hotels were fully booked that night for the fireworks display, so I came to this hotel. It was actually OK. The room is not small, the terrace is super large, you can see the sea, but it is blocked by high-voltage wires. It's not far from Atami Station to the room, 10 minutes away, but you have to walk up the stairs or take an S-shaped road, which is a bit painful to carry a suitcase. There is no bathroom in the room, only a public bath. There are very few people and it is almost reserved. When I checked in at around 6:30, there was no one at the front desk. I had to call them to come out. It was a bit strange. And they also stipulated that the door is locked from 11pm to 6am the next day and no one can enter or leave.

The hotel is a bit old and located halfway up the mountain. There are not many choices in the convenience store and the location is remote. Although there is a special car to pick you up, I personally think it is more suitable for self-driving tours. The view from the room is nice.

The hotel is quite far from Atami Station; walking involves continuous uphill climbing, and taking the shortcut involves climbing a long flight of stairs, making it inconvenient for carrying luggage. A taxi ride of about 1 kilometer costs a starting fare of 680 yen. The hotel offers a free shuttle service in the morning and afternoon. The room balcony offers a sea view, though there are electrical wires providing some shade. The hotel offers free onsen (hot spring), and charges for ping pong, mahjong, and karaoke. This time I stayed in a tatami room; the room had a toilet, but the bathroom was a shared one, connected to the onsen.

This was my first time in Atami, and the inn was very clean, allowing me to relax in the Japanese-style room. Thank you very much. Also, thank you for providing a women's yukata when, by some mistake, only men's yukata were available.
