Nice modern newer hotel in Atascadero, convenient for visiting Paso Robles, Morro Bay, SLO and Avila Beach (as long as you have a car). Minutes from the 101. PROS: Plenty of free parking, well lit. Modern, clean, newer hotel with up-to-date decor. Friendly front-desk person. Pool, gym, business center and breakfast included. Nice spacious breakfast area. Wall Street Journal available in lobby. Quiet stay until our last night when we had to call the front desk twice when a rabble of people were being very loud on our floor after 'Quiet Hours'. Vending machines and small shop with essentials available downstairs. CONS: I was not impressed that they don't offer housekeeping/a room refresh unless you're staying more than 5 days, although there was the option to ask for new towels at the front desk. When you're paying around the $200/night mark, you expect to come back at the end of a busy day to have at least your bed made and the room refreshed. I was told that 'People like the fact nobody enters the room while they're gone'. While this is one advantage, this is basically post-Covid corporate greed speak for 'It's a good excuse to not spend money and hire people to clean and make back some money we lost'. If I don't get my room cleaned, I might as well rent a room in someone's house through an on-line app. Breakfast food was your typical hotel chain buffet with sugary yogurts, cheap breads/bagels, rubbery eggs, brown spotted bananas, etc. When are hotels going to start offering more quality food? At least it's something to put in your belly before you go out for the day and you don't have to traipse the streets looking for breakfast. All-day coffee and tea in the lobby would be a nice touch like some other chains offer. I found the bathroom dimly lit, despite a light around the mirror. On the first night, Highway 1 lived in the town of Carmel, and the second night was chosen here. It is 40+ minutes drive from San Simeon. The hotel is located at US101. Compared with the hotel on Highway 1, it is very cost-effective and the quality of Marriott's hotels is guaranteed. From here to the Danish town about 1 hour drive. The overall feeling is very convenient. Breakfast is quite rich in the United States. Free parking. The room is large and the bed is large.

The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable.

Best Hotel I have fell into in long while. Every amenity one can imagine in the room, all doors are 3 steps from one’s car ( if on ground floor-recommend), vegetation looks like a garden park, and staff is impeccable. I will fall into here again! Ah, and $5 coupon to Margie’s Diner on property. If you need a getaway office for a day or two, this is the place!

It was clean and good location.

Stayed here for several days while visiting a sick family member and ultimately planed the funeral. With everything going on the staff really welcomed us and made us feel as taken care of as possible . Shane the front desk clerk really went above and beyond for us. Made sure we had plenty of clean towels .He had even suggested that we we enjoy the pool to help with some of the stress. Great staff will be back for sure.

This is a relatively modern and very clean property; we had a family room which included a small kitchen area and sofa as well as two good sized beds. We could not fault the room or the quality of service, and the included breakfast was great for the price. The only things that detracted from our stay were (1) some very loud neighbours after the state fair and (2) our disappointment that Paso Robles itself was not quite as interesting as the marketing had led us to expect but neither of these were things that Holiday Inn could control. We were on a US West Coast road trip and this was to break up our journey from Carmel to Santa Barbara. If we do a similar trip in future we’ll stay in Morro Bay instead.

I stayed for three nights and this is what I have to say: The room was spacious and super clean. They do room service every day without asking. The office hosts will asked to write the names of all guest and car plate number. Too many construction trucks (big and wide) on one day I had a bit of a hard time exiting the parking. On one night there was a group of men outside next to my room smoking weed so I told the front desk and they immediately resolve the issue. I saw at least one homeless person each day outside of hotel but there was also police around the area and I did feel safe walking during day time. The pool was fun my kids had fun. No breakfast included but there is great food within walking distance.

The location is good, the bathroom has a jacuzzi, the room is quite big but the decoration is general, the Christmas holiday restaurant is closed, the surrounding is the same, relatively speaking, the price is low, family travel is not recommended.
