Hotel Colinas del Sol

Beautiful place with beautiful people! Being in the city, you have so much around you to see, visit and of course the many incredible eateries to choose from. The views of the surrounding mountains is quite serene. The rooms are very clean, and staff is always ready to make you comfortable. The on-site restaurant is wonderful, and makes a romantic setting for all. We could not get enough of the breakfast included with our stay, always looked forward to it.

I had not planned a stay at this amazing hotel. I had just picked up the rental car and started driving. When I got tired I hit lodging on my GPS and this was the first place on the list so I went with it. It was not where I would have expected to find a hotel. It was dark and I couldn't see much as I approached. The reception area was simple, the clerk was extremely friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. I awoke to a visual fantasy of floral and tropical paradise! The privacy for my room (and each other room as well) provided by all the foliage was incredible. The walk ways were swept and led to a beautiful pool that I didn't even know was there! Score! Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly, accommodating and willing to converse - in ENGLISH! They have yoga classes that happen in their gorgeous pavilion several times a week! I was fortunate to be able to experience one of these classes first hand! GREAT way to start my Costa Rica Adventure!

A very quite accomodation with very kind people always smiling and gentle. Very good restaurant with the best chef Mariel. The kindness and smile of Karin let you start the day in a peaceful way as the "Gallo Pinto" made by Letitia let you get the energy you need for all day. William is the friend you should have. The everyday room cleaning let you feel at Home. Thanks Brigitte!

Hotel owners, both husband and wife and their staff were really helpful and friendly. Property is really well maintained with diverse flowering plants and villa room we stayed in is very spacious and clean. Even though it is still the wet season, temperature was really pleasant and A/C wasn’t needed to sleep well. Very peaceful environment and walking distance to town square. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to getaway and relax.

My son is in school not far from Colinas del Sol and we have stayed here several times. It is lovely with beautiful grounds and clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast is delicious, the staff friendly and it’s a short walk into town for restaurants. I highly recommend it and have stayed here several times and will always stay here!

Cons: The curtains do not provide much privacy and I found the room to be hot. Pros: The room was clean. The employees were helpful and kind. The grounds and the pool were nice. The absolute best thing about the place was Chef Osman at the restaurant. He made us feel special when he cooked wonderful food geared just for us.

We checked in & found that there were 3 beds (wonderful for 3 friends traveling together). The owner & staff took good care of us. The food was good, breakfast variety was good & coffee available. The pool was wonderful, they kept it clean even in the wind. The grounds were a delight in brilliant flowering colors. We relaxed sitting on the porch soaking up the sun. During the mornings there was yoga, in the evenings there was karoke. There was a small kitchen setup to make your own meals.

great staff who work hard to meet your needs as required. Flexible meal arrangements if needed. Food is always good. We will be back again and again. My wife and I have been coming here for several years and have always been satisfied with the staff, service, food and the accommodations. We plan to return in 2016 and into the future as long as I and my wife can travel. .
