Raheen Woods Hotel

I stayed just last night and enjoyed it so much I wanted to leave a review right away. The staff at check in were helpful, friendly and professional. The room service was great, I'd a fantastic chicken caesar salad ( I order it all the time when I'm out and this was particularly good!). The rooms were spotless. The garden is really charming, beautifully maintained with a fairy garden for kids. The location is excellent, 2 minutes off the motorway. I'd really recommend.

Hotel very clean and our room was lovely and warm when we arrived. Our dining experiences, food was fab but there was a lot of air conditioning on in bar, restaurant and lobby of hotel. I found it uncomfortable.

Lovely spacious and nicely decorated hotel. Was quite disappointed with check in. Felt receptionist was quite abrupt. Room was very spacious and comfortable. View from room not great. Enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant.

I , my wife and two kids are currently lieing awake for the third morning in a row since 6am because of a gang of kids in the room next to us shouting and jumping and banging , ok , the parents are to blame for not telling them to stay quiet until a certain time but Raheen woods….sort out the soundproofing between rooms, it has literally ruined our stay, I can not even talk about any good points because of this.

We went for an overnight stay for St Patrick's day. 2 adults and 2 children aged 4 and 2 in a family room. We arrived at 10.30am to catch the parade in Athenry. We had lunch in the bar at 12.00 all standard. Went to the pool. Very clean and modern. Could have had coin lockers rather than bring your own lock. Clean dressing rooms. Lots of floats available to use. Check in early at 3.00 was provided as the room was already cleaned. The children got a tub of ice cream on check in which was a nice touch. Room was spotless and had all mod cons. Perfect beds and bedding. Down to the soft play area. 5 euro per child with no time limit. This would be for children under 8 really. Tea and coffee available. Dinner at 6.00 best to book in advance. Roast dinners for everyone. Nice gravy. Plenty of vegetables with the dinner which was appreciated. Desserts nice but bought in. Good nights sleep very little sound transfer for family rooms. Breakfast all standard. Fancy pancake maker that the children loved. Poached eggs made on request. Could do with some gluten free cereal. Staff were professional and helpful throughout our stay. Definitely a hotel worth visiting with young family. Excellent price point. Well done to all staff on a busy bank holiday weekend.

Circumstances meant we were staying in Athenry for an extended period of time. I stayed on my own In the hotel for a week just before Chris**as and then my husband and I visited regularly over the coming months to eat. The rooms are lovely: comfortable, spacious, with tasteful decor and spotlessly clean. I had explained my circumstances before arrival and I was given a fantastic room away from the bar and function rooms, ensuring that I felt comfortable whilst the hotel was in the mist of the party season. The food is good, we sampled a variety of: burgers, chicken goujons, smoked salmon parcel, chicken/bacon Caesar salad and a fabulous chowder. They have just introduced an early bird menu which does appear to be very good value and is certainly popular. Over the past few months we have felt part of the Raheen Woods ‘family’. There are moments in your life that change things forever, with living in another country and having to try to navigate a ‘new normal’, the support received by Eileen, Oisin, Lauren and Shelly has been way above and beyond. Our circumstances have been different from the majority of guests, however if it the area do treat yourself to a stay and/or a meal. Great hotel, lovely rooms, good food and just the BEST team.

Our wedding at the Raheen Woods Hotel, coordinated by Oisin and Catherine was unbelievable, thanks to you, our Wedding was absolutely amazing from start to finish, including the couple of days that followed! - The separate section of the Raheen Woods for weddings made it so comfortable and personal. - The venue had a homely a**osphere which felt warm and inviting, making all our guests feel relaxed and comfortable. - Oisin and Catherine went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of, putting us at ease throughout the planning process not to mention how accommodating they are. They made every part of the wedding run so smoothly! - They even let our fur baby Darcy be the ring bearer, and he had his very own suit to blend in with the lads! 🤣 - The amount of laughing and absolute crack from start to finish of our wedding was exactly what we wanted, all thanks to the Raheen Woods being so helpful and obliging. - The delicious food and the fantastic staff who are so friendly had the crack with our guests and helped in any way they could, which was excellent! The seamless coordination was absolutely outstanding and enjoyed by all the guests. - It was such a heartwarming and unforgettable experience. You really went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome , Thank you so much for having us! It's an absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding and we can't recommend the Raheen Woods highly enough to other couples planning their special day! Carol & Gordon.
