Worst hostel ever. Do not stay here. It’s dirty. It’s got no facilities. Nothing works. The kitchen has no equipment and you share the place with refugees who play loud music all day. There is no wifi. No ability to buy water and you can’t drink the water from the tap in Greece. The staff are kind but the place is falling down. Do not stay here.

I was travelling by bicycle in Crete after having landed in Athens. I wanted to keep the same bicycle box I travelled with as I did not have a lot of time to look for a new one on my return from Crete. I inquired at several places including the first establishment where I stayed if I could leave by box in their care for approximately 11 days and the Welcommon Hostel was the only establishment to offer me this favor without any fee. When I asked if they could store my bicycle during my stay on my return from Crete they happily offered to keep my bike in the store room behing the reception.

This is a socially responsible HOSTEL in the center of Athens near the Exarcheia neighborhood. There are many restaurants, cafes and bars around and many young people. The hostel managers and staff are always available and attentive for every request
