Acro&Polis

Apar**ent is within walking distance to major attractions. It is also about a 10min walk to Monastiraki Metro Station. Apar**ent is very clean and comfortable. The little kitchen is equipped with a cooker, oven and other utensils. It came in handy for my trip. However, there are stairs to climb sonif you have a heavy luggage then you need to know what to expect. Anyway, there are many stairs and slope to climb in Athens too.

Sakis meets at property and gives u a great overview of the house and how everything works. Then lead us to a very good restaurant that had the best Greek salad and taziki with fresh pita bread. The area is very good with easy walking access to acropolis and to dinner tours. This area is very nice and the views are excellent.

We enjoyed many things about Acro & Polis. First as many others have said is the kindness of Sakis, the owner, and Costas, his son. Both are extremely helpful. Sakis arranged a cab pickup at the airport and another to the Port of Piraeus when we left. This was our first time in Athens and they made it easy. Second was the rooftop deck below the Acropolis. The view up at the Acropolis is fantastic, and was only exceeded by the sunset over neighboring cafes. Acro & Polis is near restaurants, shops, and is a 10 min walk to the Acropolis “side entrance”(recommended entry). Cafe Plaka is next door for coffee and many restaurants are within minutes by foot. One comment on Plaka and neighboring Monastiraki. Both are touristy, but we are tourists and enjoyed it. Many, many places to eat and walk. The Aphrodite apar**ent was comfortable with a double (queen?) bed and a couch which we used as a bed in the living room. We took meals in the local restaurants and did not use the kitchen, but we appreciated the water, juice, and fruit provided by A&P. Heating/AC units are in both the bedroom and living room. The bedroom has a window with shutters you can open for fresh air and the living room has a small deck. Both overlook the narrow street. Some graffiti, but it’s minor and not atypical. A heads up that google maps shows a front door that is not the exact entrance. The entrance is maybe 10-15 feet to the left and a few feet up a short walkway. It’s easy and obvious once there and I’ll post a picture of the entrance with this review. I am very glad we found and stayed at Acro & Polis.

Perfect location, extremely clean, friendly staff! Sakis was very helpful! I would definitely recommend and stay here again!

This host was amazing! His staff, his property, his timeliness to respond to messages as we were planning our trip was amazing! The rooftop was amazing to sit on and just listen to the locals and the restaurant nearby had live music. He arranged all of our trips to and from the airport, even for our day excursion to Santorini. In total 4 trips all the same driver but one, that was confronting. Room was the perfect size for my husband and I, had a fridge for wine, fruit, drinks, leftovers and a small oven to reheat our pizza late at night! Everything was within walking distance and we really just stayed in the Plaka area. It was so perfect! I highly recommend staying here. If we ever make it back we defiantly will and I have already told my friend who is honeymooning next spring all about it :)

So close to the Acropolis and other historical sights. I’m 68 and had heart surgery last year. There were hills but we managed them. Even walked up to the acropolis. The picture with the view from the rooftop seemed too good to be true. It wasn’t if anything it understated it. Sakis gave us lots of advice. Probably 20 restaurants within a half a mile. And 100 shops. And not overly ritzy ones. We loved it!

Even better than we hoped! The location, of course, was perfect, and the bed, pillows, even the shower were all fantastic. Manager/owner Sakis was super helpful arranging taxis for us and making great dinner recommendations. The rooftop area is well-maintained, with several chair and table sets. Perfect for a glass of wine respite before you dive back into the glorious chaos below.

We loved this apar**ent, right in the middle of Plaka so the perfect location to walk to all the sights. Plaka is a very safe and pretty area. We chose the apar**ent for it's roof terrace and it didn't disappoint ! eating breakfast up there with views of The Acropolis and the rest of the city was wonderful. Sakis had great communication and a lovely lady cleaned the apar**ent every day. If I had one criticism it would be that the bathroom is a little small and this could be helped by putting a shower screen in , instead of a curtain but really that is a tiny observation and it wouldn't stop us staying there again or recommending it.

The property manager/owner was very responsive and a great resource for all things Athens. I would stay here again.
