MiraMe Athens Boutique Hotel-House of Gastronomy

Nice location, just a street away from the Greek Agora, the suite is wonderful with acropolis view, staffs are pretty friendly and helpful!

MiraMe has the BEST shower we have ever experienced. THE BEST SHOWER! It comes with four different ' heads ' and the water pressure is extremely powerful so taking a shower after a hot day in Athens was an absolute joy. Usually the rainshower found in most hotels is weak, but MiraMe's jets are very forceful and steady water temperature. The other three ' heads ' are one for the chest, one for the butt and one for the legs. Then there is also one separate hand held shower head on the side. The shower room is spacious and drainage is smooth, and the door seals perfect so there is no worry of a leak. We cannot claim to be hotel experts but for the 30+ odd years of travelling and having stayed in over 60 hotels in many cities, we can vow loud and clear that MiraMe has really sourced the BEST shower model, and other hotels, even other leading hotels in the world should dump theirs and change them into MiraMe's. Locationwise, MiraMe also is very good. The main shopping districts are just 10 mins walk away where you can find famous brands as well as plenty of shoe shops. In the area are major bus stops , great variety of restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlours, pharmacies and other nice hotels. The room we had booked is ' deluxe family room with balcony ' that has a short flight of stairs leading to an attic for the 3rd person. It is a nice nook up there for some privacy with a bed and a sofa and an individual air con that provides a comfy temp. The balcony is small and not much view so we hardly used it. Breakfast is provided up on the rooftop bar cum lounge, where a young staff manned the place and served freshly made breakfast cooked to each guest's order every morning. The rooftop has a nice open view of the Acropolis and has very nice updated music that is cool but not too loud and wild. They also have a bar on the G/F serving drinks. The staff are all young and pleasant, polite and helpful and they try their best to help with restaurant bookings and recommendations etc. MiraMe is a clean and modern boutique hotel that provides sufficient toiletries to make the stay comfy and carefree. Housekeeping is discreet and the bedding is all clean and white, bath and hand towels and floors and things we touch are basically clean. Again, we cannot praise enough their wonderful shower that has to be the BEST in the whole world. The hotel is in a quiet street but in a very safe neighbourhood, so even if you return late everyone feels very secure and safe.

This hotel was excellent. Kostas was the most perfect host ever. I adore the way the room was set up and how it was so very clean and comfortable. The rooftop breakfast was amazing. I was so so incredibly impressed by the hospitality that they showed us. They really took care of us very well. If you get to go to Athens, please check out this hotel. They do a great job taking care of travelers from the US.

Small but perfectly formed this hotel has it all- great location near the pedestrian walkway to Acropolis , 10 mins from Monastiraki station, 5 mins to Psyrri restaurants. The rooms are small but well equipped. What really makes it stand out are the staff who go out of their way to help and accommodate travellers. The breakfast with Acropolis views is also outstanding!

From the time you walk in to this upgraded converted house you feel at ease. It’s 7 rooms provide you with comfort and everything you need . Staff are super friendly and nothing is too much of a problem for them to do or get . A home away from home close to some great Resturants near by including the abstract Little Kooky ice cream venue . An ideal location for exploring the sights of Athens or just chilling out on its roof terrace either views of the Acropolis!
