The hotel and the room are not cleaned regularly. You can see stains on pillows and bedding.

The shower head is the kind you don't often see in the US (which is a plus!). The water pressure was a bit weak. Everything else was pretty satisfactory. The staff were friendly and helpful. Coffee isn't free, though.

The hotel entrance is a bit small, located at a street corner, which makes parking a bit inconvenient. Since it's downtown, valet parking is necessary and costs $55 per day. However, it's super convenient for sightseeing; you can walk to the Coca-Cola Company in about 10 minutes and Olympic Park in just five or six minutes. The room itself was decent, and I was happy with the cleanliness and bedding.

The American Hotel Atlanta Downtown is a very nice hotel. Renee and Joy went over and above to make our stay perfect. We will definitely return!!

Clean and spacious hotel, plus my room had two big bottles of water for free! However you’d have to pay $59.90(tax inclusive) for overnight parking which is too pricey if you ask me. Also, room services was at my door at 8am to ask the time I’ll be leaving whilst check out starts at 11am (hotel needs to check that). Overall, I loved my stay!
