We chose to stay at The Graduate during football season; our team was visiting. This hotel is new, so everything is clean and shiny. The decor is tremendous, with numerous touches of Auburn sports and athletes, specifically Bo Jackson. The coffee was poor and overpriced, so after our first cup, we went to Dunkin Donuts around the corner. The scenery and food at War Eagle rooftop bar were incredible. This is a short walk to campus, most restaurants and bars. The staff was friendly and as helpful as possible, finally finding a compromise on numerous room issues. We digitally checked into an oversized room, only to have it given away upon arrival. We were then placed in a standard room, so we requested to purchase an additional room. However, we were denied, and the staff stated that no additional rooms were available. Our room had no working A/C or heat; after maintenance determined it could not be fixed, we approached the staff for a different room. We were given a different room, and everything worked, but the staff could not answer when we asked how they could move when, a few minutes ago, they stated no additional rooms were available. Ultimately, we received two rooms, our new room and the one with a broken A/C, while only being charged for one room. Ultimately, I would recommend this hotel because I feel most issues were related to being a brand-new hotel.
