It is very close to the University of Auckland, and is within walking distance to Queen Street and the sailing pier. There is a Chinese front desk, the room is not big, the price is reasonable, there are no slippers and disposable toothbrushes, there is a kettle, and there are two prices with or without breakfast. In short, it is worth recommending.

It's a good stay, but the cleaner knocked out the door around 8:30am and said they wanted to clean the room, but the check out time was 10am (we requested a late check out at 11am when we checked in). It's very annoying. The ventilation system in the bathroom seemed not functional.

The room I stayed in was reserved at a special price and was right above the canopy.
It was a good place to stay for one night, and the hot water was good for relieving fatigue. It felt a bit old, but I was satisfied.
It was nice to be able to have a light meal at the 1st floor cafe next door to the University of Auckland dormitory, open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and the restaurant inside was also top-notch.
Overall satisfied!

Central location, great accessibility in Auckland CBD area. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, but cleanliness could improve. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Hidden extra costs very limited parking and it costs $30 per space if you are lucky to get 1, otherwise you have to park down the road (even more expensive parking) and walk to the accomodation. No extra blankets or pillows. Other Copthorne hotels I’ve stayed in are of a much higher standard. Thought it would be the same here but not really.
