Great accomdation if you are on budget and want to save money. The location is right next to vintage shops and couple of bars, minutes walk to CBD and MT Eden. At night the hostel street is full of JUNKIES! Wouldn’t stay again.

I stayed in a 6-person room for two nights and felt relatively bad. There might be an entertainment venue right outside the window. The noise of singing and drinking basically lasted until dawn. It was quite different from the 8-person room I stayed in before. The bathroom shower room is relatively convenient among youth hostels.

Our stay at Haka Lodge was really good! We didn’t expect much for a backpackers lodge, but it was really clean and the staff helped with everything they could. No loud noise and also very well equipped kitchen. Would definitely go there again! 🙂

Ideal location to explore Auckland. Clean, tidy and bright. Facilities and all amenities are considerately provided. Staff are so kind, helpful and hospitable. My encounter with Jamie in the front desk was a happy, serendipitous and memorable experience. He tried to help and delight me in every way possible. With my injured waist, he even helped me to carry my luggage downstairs. The feeling and vibe was extraordinarily positive. I recommend.
