3-Star Hotels in Augsburg

The staff on duty at the counter is only until 10pm. If the time is exceeded, you can only contact with an emergency phone, which is relatively not very convenient. In addition, when checking in, the automatic check-in machine at the door failed, and the whole check-in was delayed for a long time, but the service staff actively helped to deal with it.

We've stayed at 7 Super 8s and we know what to expect. Sometimes not the best breakfast, and often very old rooms. This was our first Super 8 in Germany. I am so glad it was cheap because it was literally HALF the size of the American Super 8s, had no functioning AC, only one hard chair, nowhere to sit to watch TV, the TV was ridiculous, it was exactly the TV I grew up with in the 70s, meaning when you click GUIDE, you only get a list of channels that you can click on. That is exactly like a 70's TV, where you know the channel, you select it, and you see what you see. There is no true GUIDE feature, telling you *WHAT* you are watching, and no program list showing what programs are coming up next, on each channel. So, a 70s TV. There is no refrigerator in the room. There is no microwave in the room. There is no ice machine in the hotel (normal for Germany) but this one didn't even give us a cup of ice when requested, because they ran out. (And didn't make more?) Parking costs 10Euro, the few free spots out front were all taken and so cramped we could barely fit our normal sized car through the ”lot”. Breakfast costs 12 per person? That is absurd. No Super 8 in America charges for either service. I'm just so glad this place is cheap. Please don't come here expecing Super 8 Standards.

We are on day 9 of being in Bavaria and I think our 5th or 6th hotel. This is by far the best and most comfortable. The bed is so awesome. The staff are welcoming. Two big drawbacks; no air conditioning and finding the actual hotel location. We arrived late at night, I had made a reservation and paid ahead of time. We were so frustrated at not being able to find the hotel we drove about 10 minutes away and were going to check into a Holiday Inn Express. The guy at the front desk there was sooooo sweet, when I told him we were unable to find the NinetyNine Hotel, he did everything but drive us to the front door. He printed off directions and told us exactly what to look for! It's located next to the Universitat Augsburg a sort of industrial area on the outskirts of town. When we woke up in the day time we realized the GPS had taken us right next to the hotel but there are no visible neon signs at night. I am really glad we wound up finding it. They hotel is big on sustainability and animal conservation and awareness. The decor is wonderfully strange yet welcoming with butterflies 🦋, monkeys, fish 🐟 and other animals all around. There is a full bar in the lobby, breakfast is available and a small refrigerator in the lobby with drinks for sale. Oh and it is located above the Rewe grocery store and you get access to the fitness center right next door. I absolutely recommend this hotel.

We chose to return our rental car here in Augsburg and catch a train to Salzburg here to avoid the crowds in Munich for Oktoberfest. This was a much bigger city than I expected. It is also a college town. While traveling in the USA, Holiday Inn Express are usually a safe bet for a one night stay. We were not disappointed. The room was clean and comfortable as was the bed. This is only one of 2 hotels that had AC out of the 10 we stayed in. Breakfast was the usual Holiday Inn buffet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Made sure out taxi arrived on time. There is a great burger place across the street that you should try. All and all, we were glad we chose this hotel and would recommend it if you are traveling thru Augsburg.

This hotel is a very reasonably priced hotel in Augsburg, we booked it for its proximity to the Xmas markets. It was so so much nicer than we expected, it's not a huge hotel but the staff are super friendly, so helpful and accommodating. The room looks fairly basic, but has everything you could need, as well as comfortable beds, great heating (needed in December) and powerful showers, the hotel has a small but fully functional lift. We had a room on the 4th floor, which was nice and quiet with decent views. The rooms also had a fridge. The breakfast room was so very christmassy, how lovely. Good continental breakfast which is included on the price (great value), eggs available cooked to order if you wanted. This hotel made our stay delightful one....Xmas markets are about 5 mins walk but far enough not to hear the noise.

The hotel is very close to the pedestrian street Early in the morning we go to the pedestrian street Inside the fruit market to buy cherries The cherries here are XXXL cherries It’s the same size we’ve seen but it’s the cheapest It’s not too far to go to the CITY GALLERY at closing time There are fried noodles, fried rice, because the store is closing soon The clerk gave a bunch of spring rolls and three fried shrimps to our kids for free A short walk from Fuge District, you can visit the oldest welfare house in history. (But tickets are needed), we asked the front desk in the morning to get the car for free Parked on both sides of the hotel’s main entrance, I experienced a lot of God’s grace in this city this time

The Dom Hotel is exceptional, everything we could have hoped for. Just two minutes from the Cathedral and on the site of what was the Propstei, where Emperor Maximilian stayed when here on imperial business. Archaeological treasures are displayed in the tranquil sitting area, where a generous bowl of fruit and nuts is offered for guests to help themselves. Our room was elegant, simply done, but all materials were of top quality - perfect. If you want utensils for the neat little kitchen-in-a-cupboard, you just have to ask. As the immediate - and very beautiful - buildings surrounding the Cathedral are administrative and away from the commercial centre, no one is there after office hours, and all is quiet in the evening. Five minutes' walking takes you into the city centre with all its historical interest, attractions and bright lights. The breakfast buffet could not be bettered: everything we could have wanted was beautifully presented, bowls and plates refilled in a trice as guests tucked in. A choice of LEAF TEA to put in a filter was the 'ne plus ultra' for us. The staff were discreet, unfailingly helpful and observant, the whole place is immaculately clean and well presented. A porter is on hand to help guests up- or downstairs with luggage if help is needed. This really is the best of Germany, and we shall be back.

Stayed here one nigh in May on a road trip through Belgium and Germany along the 'romantic road'. Hotel is very central and just two minutes walk away from the Main square. The hotel is only five minutes walk from the Fuggerei as well. We were checked in by and incredibly helpful lady on reception who's name I can't remember but I believe she's Romanian. The hotel has space in an underground car-park but all the spots were taken so we were faced with finding somewhere else and carrying our bags back an forth. Luckily as we were checking in another guest was checking out early and vacating a parking space! The lady on reception came out to the car with us to see us safely into the carpark and then took us to our room :) Room was nicely furnished, clean and comfortable with two windows which opened on to the street at the side of the hotel. Breakfast the next morning was excellent and we'd definitely stay there again.

Hotel non troppo grande molto accogliente. Il personale dell’albergo (anche se presente solamente durante il giorno) è molto cordiale e disponibile. Colazione a buffet molto buona e abbastanza assortita. Camera spaziosa e letti comodi. Alcuni dettagli di usura potrebbero essere sistemati semplicemente con una mano di vernice ma la pulizia è impeccabile. L'hotel ha a disposizione solo 4 parcheggi anche se nella via si trova eventualmente dove parcheggiare 'auto.

This old convent is located almost opposite the train station and is excellent choice for those arriving by public transport (less when you come by car). It is an old convent and the rooms are quite strangely divided over floors and courtyards. The rooms have all the basics and are spacious enough. As is the bed, though I only got a single sheet which was also rather small and warm. The shower is hot and the lights are okay. You need those as the windows in my room were not all too large. The hotel decoration is plain and simple. Staff is okay though they may get some hospitality-update training. Breakfast is okay, though not surprising, with sufficient choices for people with allergenic reactions. In fact this is a decent hotel to further explore Augsburg and to not spend too much time in your room.
