What a beautiful little find this hotel was in Augusta. We had to stop early because of snow and booked online. What a gem!

This was kind of an odd hotel. It felt like a motel that was attempting to be an upscale hotel. The room opened directly to outside, although you took an elevator to the 2nd floor and went through some indoor halls first to get to the door which was outside. The room felt a little chilly due to a not that strong door. The shower was hard to use---you had to pull up very hard on a flimsy rod to make it stay on. The sheets were wonderfully smooth. There weren't enough blankets. The room was quite small and the bathroom tiny. The halls were pretty---I liked the art. The breakfast was not that bad, and it was nice there was coffee, tea and cocoa always available. The place felt empty the night we were there.

No power outlets in or near night stand . Charging station on night stand did not have newer phone capabilities. Bed and pillows were very firm. Room 101 is extremely noisy due to traffic in and out ( and this was before the storm crews arrived). Breakfast hours starting at 6:30 is not conducive for business travelers. Payment hold for security will not be lifted until after seven business days . General Manager misspoke when stating that it would be lifted next day and appears to busy to return calls. Average property within the Ascend Collection. First time staying at this property and it will not be a future choice for the area.

Found the place to be warm and cozy as usual. The place is nicely decorated for Christmas, such a warm pleasant stay.

I thought this hotel was an exceptional value. I have a walking disability so I did pay a bit more for an inside-corridor room, but the price was still lower than I might have expected to pay. The room was clean and comfortable, exactly as described, and the hot breakfast was the best one I've seen since before COVID. (The blueberry-cobbler coffee was out of this world... I was so happy to find it at the supermarket!) I was in town for a funeral and had nowhere to go for a couple of hours after checking out, but the desk clerk was fine with me planting myself in the lounge in front of the cozy gas fireplace until it was time to get going. I heard there were some snacks provided down there during the evening, but I didn't make it downstairs to check it out. I would absolutely stay here again; already looking forward to finding a reason!
