Consistently lovely hotel with consistently good service. The juevos rancheros I ordered and had delivered to my room were incredibly good! And the coffee was nice and strong ….. glad I asked for extra cream and sugars ! Great location near the Arboretum stores and shops at the Domain . Also close to Whole Foods, H‑E‑B grocery store, Gateway movie theater, and lots of good restaurants, many within walking distance.. Large rooms, bathroom stocked with Aveda products. (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap for hands) was a very nice touch!
The only thing I didn’t like was they have recently started charging for self parking in their uncovered lot ….. I paid $20 on 1/31/24. I don’t like that at all. Just put the price in your room rate and say free parking!

I attend an annual conference at this hotel every September, and this past weekend was this year's trip. My friends and I stayed in a double room. Our room was clean and comfortable, and everything was in good condition. I loved the new Kevin Murphy complimentary toiletries! (HUGE improvement over the former Aveda ones.) We got morning coffee at the Choza coffee stand, where the service was quick and the coffee was good. We had a couple of banquet meals during the conference. Service was nice, although they took a long time to make a salad for my friend with food allergies. One fun thing about this hotel is how the decor really captures the vibe of Austin. I can definitely say the hotel has made even more fun photo spots than ever before! There are several great spots in the huge atrium, several in the lobby, and even more down by the pool.

My stay at the Renaissance Hotel was fantastic from the moment we arrived. Kota helped bring all our bags up to our room and down again when we checked out—he was incredibly helpful, polite, and made the experience feel seamless. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed to relax. The staff throughout the property were friendly and professional. We also enjoyed the food and amenities on-site. Overall, it was a smooth and pleasant stay, and I’d definitely come back—especially with service like Kota’s!

A GORGEOUS hotel with some serious potential is the best way I would describe this hotel! Ok let’s get the negative out of the way. The only reason I cannot in my heart of hearts give this property a glowing review yet (keyword) is because I think the front office needs a little bit of work. Particularly management…..even more particularly Jennifer and China. There were some initial concerns/issues that almost caused this stay to not happen in its entirety!! That said…. The Renaissance Austin Hotel is capital “L” legit!! Whether it’s luxury, amenities or location, this hotel has it all! The purpose of this trip was to attend a wedding with family. This hotel was the perfect place!! The only thing I cannot rate on this trip is the food as we did use their facilities. Does not mean we won’t if we ever stay there in the future nor does it mean we don’t recommend even food at the hotel. In fact, from what we read and saw at the restaurant, everything looked great! We booked the Signature Suite which was an amazing experience! As a designer myself, I can confirm that the room definitely carried both eclectic and eccentric concepts wrapped in one. Very “Keep Austin Weird” if you ask me. Which I’m digging and here for all day! The suite was also UNBELIEVABLY spacious! Another very Texan feel. The only thing/complaint was that the room could benefit from having an actual couch. That and the dining room pendant was weird, but not in a good way. Other than those things, great space! Lastly, the problem solving aspect. As mentioned earlier, there were some initial problems with some of the front desk staff. However, Aziz and Tester did a phenomenal, and I mean PHENOMENAL, job cleaning up the whole ordeal. In fact, it’s because of them I’m not only leaving a positive review, but a will HIGHLY recommend you all stay at the Renaissance Austin Hotel!! Have any issues? Reach out to those two and they will resolve your issues!!! :-)

If you’re visiting Austin and want a hotel that really embodies Texas charm, the Renaissance is a fantastic choice. The design and decor have that distinctive Texas look. Warm wood accents, rustic touches, and plenty of local character, and the service is top-notch. The location is convenient for exploring the city while still offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. I should have paid attention to the reviews about issues with vehicles being broken into and/or stolen at this property. Our truck was broken into overnight and we discovered it in the morning on October 10th. There is a charge to self park your vehicle and it is not cheap--so if this is a known issue as other posts report, perhaps there should be security patrolling the area. We were parked up front ! The thieves wanted the truck but since we had a club on it, it was too much trouble I guess as they rummaged through and took nothing. I asked to speak to Beyza, the manager on duty but was told she was not available. I left my contact information and asked that she call me, but she could not be bothered to call. Very disappointed in how Marriott managers address significant concerns. Engineering was very helpful and helped vacuum out the glass and put plastic on the window. Think twice before staying here!
