Hotel Indigo AUSTIN DOWNTOWN - UNIVERSITY by IHG

This is a well run hotel with attentive staff who are always eager to please. Jonathan, on the front desk, deserves a special mention - he could not do enough for us!

Kristine at the lobby bar was amazing! She was friendly, quick and a joy to be around. I’ve had a lot of old fashioneds all over the country and this was a great one! All the stars!

We had an amazing experience tonight thanks to Kristine at the hotel bar. Her cocktail knowledge is impressive—she asked what flavors we liked and crafted the perfect drinks for us. Beyond her clear skill as a mixologist, her hospitality is what sets her apart. She is warm, professional, and keeps the bar running seamlessly. Exceptional service all around!

The rooms are amazing, clean and comfortable. The service from the front desk and atmosphere is worth staying there. My trip was complete by the amazing service from Kristine in the bar. She made our trip so stress free.

The overall hotel experience was great—excellent location, comfortable rooms, a fun bar/restaurant, and a solid gym. But the real reason Hotel Indigo gets a 5-star review from me is the staff. That’s what ultimately matters. The building, location, and amenities are all important, but those are largely fixed. Service is where a hotel can truly make a difference—and they absolutely delivered. What stood out? Something simple, but incredibly meaningful. I accidentally left my AirPods in the room. I called the hotel, housekeeping located them, and the front desk helped arrange to ship them back to me (I just provided a prepaid label). They didn’t have to go above and beyond in a flashy way—they just cared enough to help solve a real problem I was completely dependent on them to fix. That kind of responsiveness and follow-through goes a long way. It’s a great example of people taking pride in their work and helping someone out when it matters. Thank you, Hotel Indigo!
